Stomrazor was a good item before they buffed it, think people (other than Kaisa) might actually start building it now.
Decent buffs to Fiora. Defs feels managated in her tower push compared to other split pushers.
What the fuck is that Gnar buff? Typo? 30 seconds at max rank???? 60 sec at lvl 11??
Haha wtf, how long does it take for Gnar to get max range late game, might be situations where he changes form before ult is up again.
Renekton looks so scary with those buffs. And I wonder if trundle support will pop up again with those buffs.
I like the approach of 1 buff per patch until a champion is playable but I think they are too far behind live when it comes to Nautilus, he was already quite playable on live, he wins trades vs almost all physical damage users because his base armor is so high now
Really his only problem is that morg is popular, but she is banned a lot too
The Fiora mana change is really nice, especially with all the tank buffs on this patch, going cleaver first might be an option again. Right now she definitely has trouble staying out on the map without essence reaver.
Kayn buff looks nutty on paper but turning blue is auto loss on live so I’m down to see it, Red Kayn is so stupidly strong atm I doubt blue is the correct choice even with this buff, but maybe vs a split push comp or a fed adc. I low key have a theory he might be a competitive pick, as the new old reksai. Even if assassins suck in competitive standing in a wall gives so much free vision it will be very easy for him to scout the enemy.
Trundle buff is scary because that champ is impossible to lane against if your jungler sucks
Only other honorable mention, no Rageblade nerf zz, I hope they nerf that item before considering nerfs to Vayne or ppl will just play other abusers.
Yeah, I almost posted that Kayne looks OP, then I saw it was blue form, have to see if this is the right step, single spell OP champs are indicators of poor design, he might be broken for a bit, nerfed and then back to where he started, or become a cheese pick.
Adc has been in a poor spot for a while now, rageblade is so strong, but only on certain champs. I think if rageblade was tuned, and Vayne got small nerfs then it could be fine, but please don't double nerf into the ground.
I'm worried Kayn buff won't change much, other than making fed blue Kayns even more faceroll
Personally I think this probably needs a nerf to his vision (in case someone reading this doesn’t play Kayn, when he enters a wall he gets like 500yd vision from the entire walls boundary) but I think red is still probably the best choice 80% of the time. Unless he can get a good match up mid, he could be the new tf/Aurelian/Talliyah
Looking at the Kayle changes, did I miss Riot splitting AS into "base AS" and "base AS used to calculate %AS increases"? While also having champions with innate AS% bonuses to make up for their base AS, like Diana and (iirc) Cait?
That formula's looking needlessly complicated.

probably. in most scenarios prob changes nothing and in those miserable games where blue kayn somehow gets fed, feel even more helpless. I guess it might bring out the FF's quicker so thats good
On April 18 2019 01:05 Sent. wrote: I'm worried Kayn buff won't change much, other than making fed blue Kayns even more faceroll It'll for sure make his overall win-rate tank because some people might now think blue form is good.
Fed blue Kayn will oneshot one or two. Fed red Kayn can straight up 1v5.
To be fair I’ve played blue Kayn probably like 2 times ever before this week because I’m not really into greifing, but my assessment after testing the buffs is that he still sucks. I think the problem is no form Kayn sucks, so you’re basically intentionally playing an assassin from behind on purpose unless you hard smurf your no form phase or exploit horrendous pathing mistakes. Meanwhile your other choice is just fine when behind and god mode when ahead, you can do some funny in and out assainations with the buff but the window of being blue before outscale is so small when you aren’t a one trick smurphing, maybe like 5-8 min for me at best, but I’m not a blue Kayn player anyway.
Basically my opinion is the only way to make blue Kayn pickable is to nerf red Kayn and doing that without buffing base Kayn would delete the champion from the game. But my opinion is mostly based on logic as my experience with blue Kayn is probably like 8-10 games including this week.
I think Kayn's in a fine spot. This is where he should be really from a balance point of view. Champ with trash early game, but if you can get through it, red Kayn has the potential to be one of the best skirmishing champs in the game.
Ezreal's win rate is like 48%, what do you mean?
Ezreal is stupidly strong in the hands of those that can play him, his laning isn't poor at all. Think he's a noob trap in lower elos though, he basically does nothing, even in plat people don't know how to play him. Loads of better carry oriented champs.
Naut buff is retarded from what I've seen, he's always been a strong early champ but right now people are spamming him like crazy because his early burst potential got buffed. I've never seen mid lane Naut before, people really get caught unaware.
Dunno I think Ezreal is like the most optimal choice when your team offers little peeling/frontlining. If I wanted to climb as adc I'd spam Jinx/Ezreal every game.
In theory yes, hence pros pick him. But in most soloQ games, Ez ends up doing astonishingly little damage, and doesn't understand how his lane works. Not hitting Q's and smart usage of E, or not AAing at all in team fights, is pretty common.
47% in soloQ isn't a bad place for EZ. He's always a little over-popular with the pros.
At first I was like "what the fug, why are they adding another AD assassin to the game", but then I realized it's just Zed and Talon who match Riot's definition of a solo lane assassin.

Not a fan of Panth rework, the champ sees play and serves a purpose as one of the only point and click stuns left in the game (which are healthy for the game to have)

But he doesn't have a 3-5 hit marker for % health dmg, or a transform that adds 4 more skills.

Some point and clicks are not ok, the ones that have no trade offs like Veigar's R or even Panth Q, but for the W Panth has to commit with his body, same for Udyr and probably the same for Renekton, so they are ok imo
Yes, point and click stuns are needed to deal with certain champs, looking at you Yasuo. Funny you mentioned those spells because the most infamous root in the game is Ryze W, its one of the core aspects that make him so strong, almost no other mid laner has a click stun except for Liss, who was meta for this past year.
The Point and click stuns left are less tilting than point and click ultimate steal if you ask me
You wouldn't download an ult.
The problem for Panth is his Q is so obnoxious. It's far more annoying than his point and click stun and I think the stun can stay. I also think his R will stay the same pretty much since it's so connected to his theme. That leaves his passive, Q and E as the things to change. His E is pretty boring as a concept but I think his passive is unique/interesting enough to leave as is or give minor changes based on the rest of his kit's changes.
Yes, Panth ult is his defining feature, I doubt they'd get rid of it because it's not exactly broken. All his basic abilities are up for grabs, I'd be fine if he didn't play out like he does now, so long as he feels like a gladiator. Kind of like Sion and the rest of the juggernaut lineup.
The Point and click stuns left are less tilting than point and click ultimate steal if you ask me Not gonna lie, when I first saw Sylas in a game, I thought his ult was a skillshot, because it felt broken otherwise. Now I know you can't escape it even if you walk out of range, drive by Sylas is a thing. If you walk into his lane as Kindred and completely fail a gank, all of a sudden he's free to dive your laner as soon as you leave.
I’m the context of his Q and E I can agree, I just think his w and passive are both very important/unique, especially the interaction between the two with regards to tower dives.
If that all stays I’m down
Yasuo can windwall Sylas ult steal. So here you have it, a situation where your worst enemy becomes a valuable asset.
Speaking of point and click, I miss putting Yasuo players in the no fun zone with Lulu mid
On April 25 2019 03:09 Slusher wrote: Speaking of point and click, I miss putting Yasuo players in the no fun zone with Lulu mid Yeah, I can see poly being hard to windwall consistently.
Panth's Q being point'n'click is integral to his play patterns as a lane bully though. If he has to move up to you and right-click you to fight, he's gonna get destroyed by minion aggro seeing how he's got no mobility and no sustain. Q being reliable helps him be a bully, helps his last hitting in bad match-ups, and gives him a chance against ranged champions.
Point'n'click nuke is bullshit on stuff like Ryze who already had a big advantage over melee champs, especially top, but Panth doesn't have as much mana so he has to balance its usage.
Wait... Why do they need to rework Pantheon though?
<_<
I think he's been in a good spot for a long time, and I think he fills a good gameplay niche. I also dont think he's inherently broken or game breaking. But I could be wrong.

Pretty sure it'll be mainly a Visuals update as he's one of the last of the pizza feet with some light work on his abilities to modernise him a bit.
I recently fell in love with Panth. Been trying to play him with a Stormrazor + Shiv core (and Dark harvest) and then tank with moderate success. The lethality build with electrocute still seems vastly superior though. You get your 2 core items (Dusk, Youmoos) and then with a GA you can go ham. I's get BC second if there are tanks in the game. If you play him well it's almost impossible you don't get ahead. Like its been rare for me to have less than 5-6 kills in a game.
I'm pretty hyped about Mordekaisers VGU and I really hope the AD assassin they tease is actually the tank from the picture.
Pantheon is IMO probably the least interesting champ in League currently. Sipping tea while pressing Q at your lane opponent is such uninspiring gameplay. It's so mind numblingly bland it doesn't help new players learn the game since in low Elo they are 100% being carried by the champion and playing against him is so boring I'd rather play a no-gap closer melee vs Gnar or Heimerdinger. He's supposed to be the Aspect of War not a javelin throwing athlete. -.-*
If I was in charge of the rework it'd be something like. Make his Q damage depend on range, more damage the closer you are. His W given Talon Q treatment, stun in melee but a hefty slow with short duration instead when used at range. E would be a cone AoE where he bash with his shield and if it hit a projectile it reflects it back (and since Rito loves text currently make it do something more if it hits in melee range too, hue). R is going to stay and with even more damage in center because goomba stomping people is the greatest part of his kit. Passive stay and the execute part moved to it.
It'll keep his core gameplay more or less but give him a juggernaut feel that can actually do something at medium range but a bit lower murder death kill of the usual juggernauts.
He is quite a fun champion, but you have to admit his kit is a relic from the past, back when champs had much simpler kits. I'm always surprised when I remember he was actually released before I started playing, and he's never gotten a real rework either.
I'd say E cone thingy is the only real problem. It doesn't fit into the kit much because of the channeling aspect. If they want to keep him as an AD assassin, I'd expect them to make Q a skillshot, with E becoming an AOE intended to help his waveclear. However, they also could go in a support direction which would keep the original kit more the same (targeted Q and W) and make E into another move with crowd control like Camille's Sweep (possibly with a defense buff somewhere) and now you have a more aggro Leona.

Damn that’s the truest thing I’ve ever read

Why is this new friendly support cuddly pet champion a cat? It should be a dog!

I too am a bit skeptical of the LCS salaries, but at least Riot built the thing up. Overwatch league has to like double the LCS to ever make sense financially.

On April 27 2019 08:00 JimmiC wrote: I just read that average LCS salary is 320,000 meaning lots make more than that. That is good money, it is higher than average MLS salaries. Who knows if it is sustainable but those guys are making bank at super young ages with no expensive college experience. Hopefully they use that money wisely to set themselves up.
I mean, it also is hard to say depending on the standard deviation.
For example I bet Bjergsson makes much much more than say Goldenglue, likely by a factor of 10+.
A number of LCS players are likely at like the 80 to 120k mark, which is far from luxurious in LA, where the poverty line is like 60k.
Keep in mind what with the current situation many aren't paying for housing since they're in the team house.
Yeah, thats fair regarding getting room and board. Thats a big burden, probably a 30 to 40k raise when you think about it.
It's cool that eSports has made it. I remember when it was largely just Day9 shoutcasting from his apartment on weekends. Its pretty cool, tbh.

Anyone else have a weird bug where you can't hit the find match button? Sometimes after I select my roles the button is highlighted but not activated so I can't press it. If I get invited to another lobby I can be in a match no problem, I just can't hit the button

Mine never works. I try switching to every menu in the game and it doesn't change it. Only relogging works for me
