I got my end of the season ward skin just now, and I just realised there is no way to look at what ward skins you have w/o entering champ select. No idea what this thing looks like.

I've made a terrible mistake trying to play ranked off season. Holy shit people are just unreal. Think I'm done with league. Maybe I'll try again next year.

Depends. If you just don't really give a fuck it can be fun. Kinda feels like ranked games are basically normals.

This has been my experience so far. Feels like people just don't give a fuck. I've had shyv with smite support. Had Thresh/Blitz bot lane. Yasuo seems to be in half the games or hovered in the other half. Stuff you never saw in ranked before during the season is now just like big normal party.

Honestly it was better when pick order was the way people decided positions back in the day. It feels like I'm playing Overwatch ranked mode instead of league.

I haven't tried ranked out yet, don't even know if I have it in me this season. But I'm really considering, because normals are just so random and low often painfully low quality. Matchmaking seems way more lax, which means I have games ranging from G5-D3.

Bot lane impressions:

- It's very weird not having any defensive stats as an ADC. You feel incredibly squishy in certain situations, and it becomes very apparent in the mid/late game. I was two shot by a Fizz with his E and Q combo (with Sheen and runes ofc), didn't even use ult or W. I had barrier, but honestly the fact I went from 100 to 0 so fast really caught me off guard.

- Also very strange not to have any form of mastery/rune sustain, you have to pick specific runes to get it. The reason I don't like this is because champions that do build sustain become insane laners. Like Draven for example, yeah he's a big lane bully, but I could still hold on by not getting harassed too much. Now he goes Vamp Scepter first, runs at you, takes a bad trade but wins out because he can heal it back up while you probably have 0 sustain. The rune that gives on champ hit heal is basically mandatory, but its scaling is atrocious. The lack of healing becomes even more noticeable in the mid game, where an ADC can be pushed out of a team fight and is unable to heal himself up by hitting from the backline.

- Klepto is beyond broken in the hands of someone good, and absolutely trash when you can't exploit it. Dunno what Riot was thinking, free gold plus free golds drops plus free items? Wtf

- Arcane Comet is hilariously good on Jhin. I have not tried Aerys on him yet, is it better? It's just hilarious hitting someone with Arcane, the burn ability and a 4th AA to blow them up, your early game trades can be devastating.

Guardian seems like a really strong support rune, makes champs like Thresh, Rakan and Braum the dope.

- Supports in general seem quite strong. Also, I've seen a Janna legit 1vs1 a Jhin on a challenger stream and lived with over 75% health, that seems super broken. ~ lv 10 both champs, really shouldn't happen even if Jhin is behind.

Other things that caught my eye:

- Akali is broken asf, no? Likewise, Fiora seems to scale into an unbeatable duelist.
- Rengar and Kha blow people up way too easily.

My biggest gripe with the rune system is that it's taking quite some time for me to learn the different runes, there are just way too many of them, and I feel kind of lost.

I haven't played ranked yet as well, but normals at my elo are way more fun than before the changes. At my level (silver), choice of runes ultimately isn't what decides games, so certain runes being very strong doesn't really change much. I do notice very clearly that you just die quicker. So the punishment for being out of position is way harsher, which I think is a lot of fun.

I'm not talking about the game being new or stuff being imbalanced. I'm talking about the amount of trolling and douchebaggary. I don't know if others are talking about the same thing but from my experiences so far I haven't had this poor a ranked experience since S2.

I just played a game where we smashed so hard that was it boring but the GP on our team took red buff from ADC so ADC tilt raged and ran it down middle a few times. Thankfully we were so ahead it didn't matter. His only deaths in the game was running it down mid. We smashed lane so hard guy was like 10/0 within 15 minutes. That's the kind of shit I'm talking about. Games being complete lopsided with massive assholes.

Eh, it's preseason. Crazy shit always happens at first and then gets toned down as Riot figure out how to tune things.
