The data does not support this claim. http://na.op.gg/statistics/champion/Bronze: #67 with 48% winrate Silver: #28 with 52% winrate Gold: #6 with 55% winrate Platinum: #4 with 55% winrate Diamond: #3 with 56% winrate
by highest level I am not referring to d5-d1.
I am referring to pro play.
also pls, I just quoted those statistics a page ago dunno why you are trying to show me of all people that he has a good winrate in soloq lmao

I saw Pantheon picked top by some European team in LCS, it was vs a lane swap but he got tower gold and ended up ahead. He split pushed with ult, the dude also ran Stormraiders Surge which was interesting. Finished like 6-2-2 I think

I'd rather they work pantheon to being a better jungler. Do what they have to do to make him a weaker bully in lane and give him easier clear/sustain so he can gank better early and let him w right after ult again.

Oh man I just read the new Pantheon Lore... thats wicked stupid

Granted, Pantheon's old lore wasn't the best either—he's a faceless member of a warrior tribe sent to show the world how strong they are.
In itself it's not a bad thing—I personally think keeping his face obscured and playing up the anonymous angle as "he's nothing special for them, just one warrior like they have dozens" is a great way to establish the Rakkors, we already have Leona and Diana as representatives of the "special castes." But Riot wants each champion to be able to be "sold" individually as a person, so of course that doesn't cut it, and he's got to be made special somehow.

Yeah, the big problem with Pantheon is that Atreus doesn't exist anymore. Pantheon Nautilus/Branded him. Meanwhile Leona and Diana got to retain at least a portion of who they were. Why expound on who Pantheon was at all if you're just going to write him out anyway? Besides, the way he is now is far too similar to Aatrox.

I went to the new site and pulled up the Panth lore but it's like 800 paragraphs long. Someone tl;dr it for me because Riot did a big stupid.

Unless it all boils down to "spartan hero", again, I just don't care. He's the greekest greek to ever greek.

Brand's direction basically has "passive is gone, fuck your poke/damage over time pattern" because they want to keep AoE and burst in the mix.
Meh. So they complain that if he doesn't bully his lane he falls off very hard, but on the other hand they don't acknowledge how his passive and rylai give him good poke to whittle people down, or with liandry's a ton of poke damage to make up for dying fast up close. I'd rather he doesn't burst as much but retains strong over time damage via burn, prob another rework that I won't like.
Req, which site are you talking about? Afaik there's only the small bit they showed a couple weeks ago, which is barely a paragraph. The TL;DR is "Pantheon, Leona and Diana are incarnation of gods of their pantheon, Pantheon's is the god of war" which is indeed bland.

That preview sounds like they want to just throw him in the lux/xerath/ziggs pile of just pick the one of these with the best numbers at the time.
|
They just need to give him a good ult and not this slot machine. The champ otherwise is fine tbh.
|
That makes me sad. i probably would have took brand to the whole set stuff on fire point.
Passive: deals (10, 15, 20, 25) every second for 4 seconds Q: fireball that stuns on fire target W: deals aoe damage around every on fire target E: Immolation from war3 but on enemy target. R: Passive stacks up to 2/3/4 times, 2 charges, creates a wall of flame that does damage to people each time they pass through it.
i always viewed that element of him to be core.

Panth isn't super gifted as a kid, just super fucking driven and can take a beating. Other guy is BMOC and hates Panth because he doesn't think Panth respects him. Panth and guy get into a fight with raider or somebody(idr) and are outnumbered. Panth tells other guy to go back while he holds them off. Panth gets his ass beat, other guy doesn't get very far before a throwin axe finds him. Panth drags other guy back to the tribe and passes out. Other guy watches over Panth until he recovers. Panth and other guy become bros.
Panth and Bro go on a journey to the top of the mountain, don't remember why. When they get to the peek Bro dies from exposure. Panth is lead into the magical mirage city at the top of the mountain and the Aspect of War bodyjacks him. Panth's memories and personality is wiped and is just Pantheon, the Aspect of War now.

This sounds like garbage. If they want to develop their characters, what's the point of giving him a backstory to then wipe his personality and memories? Unless they want Mt. Targon's event to include him somehow getting his body back with the Aspect's powers and all, which would suck too.
Gimme back my "You see that super strong dude? Well he isn't that much above the normies where he's from" vibes. Told a lot more about the Rakkos in general.

Well, the build up is that Atreus(Panth's original name) is super tenacious... so I'm hoping as the event plays out that his presence resurfaces. Kind of like how Gangplank was dead until he wasn't with Bilgewater. Out willpowering the Aspect of War would be pretty cool.

The personality taking over a guy and killing the previous guy shtick is horseshit, they legit did the same thing with Brand.
"He's a guy and he goes somewhere" "Because of where he went, this spirit took over his body" "RIP original guy" ;(
