Welcome to this patch's General Discussion thread for the League of Legends subforum. This thread is for discussion around League of Legends. Free feel to talk about anything LoL related here that does not already have its own thread. While posting standards tend to be rather lax in this thread, pointless spam will not be tolerated.
Gameplay discussion should go in the Patch Discussion thread.
Non-League of Legends dicsussion should go in the LiquidLegends Lounge.

Additionally, the TL LoL Ten Commandments are available for you to reference if you have any questions about this subforum.
Use the LoL Strategy subforum if you have game or champion specific questions. Lastly, confine QQing and bragging to their respective threads.
There is no new champion this patch.

guys why is corki not played anymore? i used to see him all the time in pro matches and now not even a single time at worlds o.o

Over/under on how many patches it will take before the Caitlyn AA desync bug comes up again? Lets start at 3.

don't feel like corki does enough damage to cut through current tanks, and he doesn't offer anything outside of a mid game magic damage power spike like ashe/kennen as mentioned

yet corki was played when tanks were even stronger pre nerf to every armor item lol, if i had to guess its because everyone plays high scaling long range adc like trist/jinx and corki probably doesnt do that well vs them or isnt worth the risk when u get outscaled so hard

The Kass changes are so weird. Personally I don't think he neede a buff or a nerf but this buff is just bizarre. It's only really a buff for his junp on a carry and one shot them comvo which he was already fine at.
Sometimes i think Riot just does random small changes to try to coerce the playerbase into playing something more/less

It's a decent early game buff, means last hitting under tower is way easier then before, since you get an extra auto reset each wave, and more mana sustain for lane.

Looks like they tried to do some Mad Max/Borderlands Bandits kinda stuff. But it looks just like foam weapons and American Gladiator gear... I don't know. Horrible.

The Veigar "nerfs" look pretty.... Ehhhhh. 20 damage nerf when you're going to do around 1000 damage is... Yeah. All it's going to do is make you relearn breakpoints of when to hit minions with Q and the W/Q on melee minions.

Yeah. I think it will, it's much more detailed since you can check multiple offenses now and they are explained in the menu which should lead to less 'false' reports. They added the ability to report bots/scripts too, which is nice so you dont have to contact Riot directly however I think this feature will probably be used wrongly alot.

Is the tribunal even up again though?
More then half the options have done nothing for ages now and I see nothing about that changing anywhere in the update :o

every kassadin i played with so far went legendary and pretty much solo carried game, need bigger sample size but im already getting s4 flashbacks

Iirc corki was mainly played in Korea and China.
Short answer was that Corki was best picked when you had no wave clear from mid and the enemy team had plenty(and/or to threaten that). As a result of this or as a result of corki not doing enough corki has been super lackluster in pro play. Like 44% win rate. So Corki was already primed to drop off the scene as soon as teams figured out a better "we have been outdrafted" pick. They just didn't know what it was.
The first week of worlds saw some big meta shifts as the non-NA regions figured out why they were losing to CLG and C9. This reason being ADC and dragon priority. The NA teams were just taking late scaling tower killers and killing towers while the rest of the world was doing dragon. Well the rest of the world isn't dumb and was watching those games and so this shifted the "we have been outdrafted mid" solution from "grab wave clear" to "knock towers down somewhere else". Obviously priority shifted from corki as your backup to jinx and trist as a primary and with so many viable ADs (jinx, trist, sivir, Kalista, Ashe, Morde, probably forgetting one or two) in addition to niche ADs corki was no longer needed in the champion pool.
