Most league players are mentally handicapped after all. Isn't it kind of achieving it's goal if Riven is going heavy into E? I don't really know how riven works but I thought she was all about snowballing off damage.

He'll always be at least average in soloq because snowballing is strong and nobody ever plays against one, but that's about all he's got going for him right now. A shame, since I really like him.

Well, I was being facetious anyway. I don't really think any champion is "freelo". I dunno, just felt to fit with the character. "They are privileged to die at my feet!" And yeah, Riven can easily win vs pantheon. That said, it's not like Emax riven auto beats panth anyway. The shield is so short, its also easy to feign a play pattern and bait it out then all in shortly after, forcing her out and making her use TP. It is a skill matchup with some min gaming Then she has no tp and you have two. Whether you win or not from there depends on how you use your tp. Other thing is, if riven is Eing away then she isn't comboing you. Not a bad place to be in. I'd you've built a lead by 6 you can even force disengages and zone with panth E while she closes cuz she didn't / couldn't EWQ due to your Q range. It's far from lost even if riven is even at 6.

She can just e towards you :p I remember trying a bit of panth after reading the atrioc guide ages ago, and riven was always one of the champions that destroyed me ![]() Just reactively e'd every q, and after lvl 4-5 she would just e into me whenever i went for a q, and i'd get rekt. I wonder how he feels mid these days, I always found mid panth much more interesting then top panth, and with everyone running tp there should be a lot fewer defensive summoners.

Keep in mind, since the guide came out Riven E has been nerfed in scaling, cool down, base numbers, and shield duration. Same with her Q. Her ult has also been nerfed like 3 times in cd. She also had all her base damage numbers tuned down; ad, tank stats, and life regen. Pantheon meanwhile has stayed untouched. And sure she can E towards you, but no matter what combo she uses you can still fight back. You can save W to force a disengage, then spear her on the way out with your 625 range. She can't just stay in your creeps... you'll win the trade usually. Can go either way though. That being said, her 9 second E CD is real long. The catch is baiting it out through feigned aggression then pushing tempo while it's down. Probably a Riven favored matchup still, but definitely winnable. Much easier now that a year or two ago. Mid is awful... you just run into Azir / Lb / Viktor / Ahri all day. You have no kill pressure, can't really trade, can't push to roam. Don't do it it sucks. Unless their mids is veigar, then it's okay. He makes a mistake he's dead. Or the AD assassin's. Or like Fizz / Kass. I guess it's 50/50 but there are a lot of matchups I wouldn't want to touch. Either feast or famine; you hard wreck and kill everything, or you are pinned to your tower and just eventually lose.

I can beat Riven too (I won't in s6 because these items are dumb on an already dumb champion), but if they know what they're doing, well... they're playing Riven, so I'll have to try my best not to feed. At least you snowball hard if you can get an early kill.

Over the years I've won the lane hundreds of times, but mostly due to poor Irelia play. If panth gets an early kill it very quickly turns into 5 or 6 if Irelia's jungler doesn't set up shop. Tbh, if I was Irelia in that matchup I'd probably just double jungle till level 3 and show up to lane with 40 armor from runes, and cloth 5. That being said, panth is getting huge buffs S6 from items. Reaver + death dance op. Also, pots now so expensive. Another big panth buff. No 5 pot stacking lanes. Lol.

Either feast or famine; you hard wreck and kill everything, or you are pinned to your tower and just eventually lose. Incorrect. Since coming out the CD has been reduced and the strength increased. The only change to her E that can be considered a nerf is the duration. Unless she is withing a reflex radius none of the changes to her E are detrimental in the matchup. Her Q's damage change through ratio is largely a buff by changing the type of AD ratio counterbalancing the base damage reduction, on top of the Riot Approved 3rd use wall hop. All other changes before that were an increase in ratio and base damage. The only base stats she had lowered are MR, HP/5, HP/5/level, AD. Her AD/level and Armor have gone up. Proper Riven play against Pantheon will have her maxing E first along with early CDR driving the timing window between the two abilities down. During that window they will stay outside the range because the momentary gap is more important than any denial that would happen since a constantly harassing Pantheon will lose a lot of that going back because he went oom.

What I mean is that I play duo rank with platinum 5 friend while I am platinum 3 and when we win he takes less LP than me and when we lose he loses more than me. How does this even make sense? Its safe to assume that my mmr is probably higher than the average of the enemy team and his is lower, so I get awarded more for beating lesser people, while he gets less rewarded or more punished for beating/losing to presumably stronger opponents. Not sure I see the logic.

Not sure I see the logic. You probably have plat 3 mmr, and he probably has g1-g2 mmr. So you get what you should for winning, and he gets less because he needs to catch up to his rank before he can actually climb properly. He doesn't get more points for beating higher ranked players because the system assumes you'll carry him, and you don't get less because you need to carry him.

So does it actually matters what is my mmr relatively to the enemies mmr, if I have normal for my rank mmr will I receive more or less depending on what I play against?
