You could also build it on Sion (especially when Sion was OP) with Cinderhulk. Its stats are really good (HP, CDR, regen) and synergizes strongly with Sion's kit.

It's pretty good on a lot of champions, I just don't play those ^^ Oh and about people not letting you use stacks, that isn't really a problem in most of the games where I build it, usually I never run around with full stacks or only for a short while so you don't really lose a lot of the passive value. Plus the item is crazy gold efficient. May Maokai smile upon you.

The gold generation is just extra, and situationally is actually quite good. I am convinced that in many situations in pro games it should be built and is not, and really speaks to poor theorycrafting by professional teams and their analysts.

I've also never had anybody say wtf are you building or anything like that, they usually don't say anything about it or thank me after saving them with shield. The build path is also pretty good, so yeah it's just a really good item. May Maokai smile upon you

It's situationally really good. On jungle Rammus and jungle Nunu its like this magical dream item descended from heaven carried by angels.

If you go the selfish route the core of Catalyst/Shroud (or Warden's Mal)/Cowl which is absurdly strong if you can get it timely, but 5th item (including boots) can be tardy. On the other hand rushing it isn't that interesting if you aren't grouping up. Catalyst -> Locket -> Face -> armour with completing Glory and boots2 whenever needed? Something like Catalyst -> Shroud/Cowl (Depends on enemy damage) -> FotM works pretty well in specific teamcomps. Basically you either finish Glory or you finish FotM, depending on whether you are initiating or peeling, which of course depends on the game. If you're only doing offensive stuff then FotM isn't really that great and you'd rather have Glory + resists.

Yeah I think on most tanks its 4th/5th item material these days. If you're Rammus on the other hand... What other tanks get lots of bonus resists and want HP items? Top lane Alistar?

We saw the same thing when back in S2(or was it s3) when locket was changed to be so good that you rushed it on top laner and got 2 on a team. A lot of pros didn't adapt to this change until way later.

A lot of teams have ways to just ignore you for a bit while your w is up and then they would just os you. Obviously this is assuming the other team isn't mentally handicapped which is a stretch but still. 4th item is when you can realistically get it and even then it isn't god mode.

It is really puzzling to me. I have to disagree with the nafta on Rammus. It's pretty obviously a 2nd or latest 3rd item buy on Rammus. Pretty sure Scips Rammus build is cinderhulk > FotM.

Nafta, I don't really see how people can ignore you with your W up since you mostly activate it either when you get focused or when you taunt someone so in both cases you're not getting ignored.

Just because scip builds it doesn't mean it's the best build, it's strong and it fits with his play style, but there are plenty of other high elo rammus mains who rush out dmp and mobis, or whatever else. Builds are only as good as you execute them Besides, in pro play junglers get way less farm then scip tends to get in soloq, so the period where you're just on cinderhulk before you start getting big tank items is wayyy longer then it would be in a soloq game.
