That said, the 4 protect 1 comps that teams tend to comp for Kog is absolute yawnfest to watch.
Neo why do you hate fun?
I just go out of my way to hate on things you like. That's probably it.
Edit: Which CN teams are running Kog? Last I watched in EU LCS, shit was boring as hell to watch. Was like 20 min in before first blood. afaik KRs haven't gone back to Kog either but as a region, they're not as ADC focused I suppose (compared to CN).
In LCK right now the GE Tigers are the only ones able to successfully run a 4 protect 1 comp built around Kog'Maw. If memory serves it's Lulu top, Janna sup, Nunu jungle, and a safe champion for mid (I want to say Ori but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong).
Edit:
And am I the only one who's getting a Vietnam-like feel from the new Teemo skin? Though that might be too old for most people (myself included) to get... Maybe it'd be better to compare it to the more recent Middle East conflicts?
Mid can be anything tbh. Personally I like the hardcore comp with morg top + lulu mid. But, I also see the benefits of running an assassin mid like Ahri or Zed to force enemies to blow cooldowns before Kog pain train comes in.
should have called it special forces teemo, so we can get a special forces skin team going around with gangplank and crew.
There area lot of good mids to do protect comps, depending on that exactly you need:
Anivia: Wall, solid CC, unignorable DPS, but even if killed they won't have time to kill the egg before they get murdered by Kog.
Cassiopeia: Alternate win condition, Ult is very strong against divers.
Karthus: Mostly same as anivia, Kog stands on him and what do they do?
Kayle: Ult
Morde: You have to engage into a protect comps to get the kog, they don't dive you. Morde then loses his terrible weakness in engaging and reaching targets. If you ult and pop their assasin, game over for that teamfight. Shield.
Morg: Black sheild, unignorable counterengage ult, strong peeling and picking.
Orianna: Safe and lots of shields.
Viktor: very strong counterengage, Kog stands in grav field, if enemy eats his whole ult then its retard damage.
Even veigar could work: Extremely powerful wall around Kog or containing enemies, can instapop any diving assassin.
i mean, ideally you just need someone in mid who can mitigate the threat of whatever is being played. Either by some teamfight mechanic utility, or shit stomping them in lane, or follow in the roam game. Etc etc.
Overall though, its probably a mistake to play a champion which doesn't have its own threat. Because mid is the second or first position for farm and if your damage threat is top/jungle you may have a hard time having enough oomph in order to break through an enemy tank line.
IMO burst/zone mages like Viktor, Ori, Karthus, Anivia are probably best. If you're truely running a protect comp an assassin is dangerous because they're going to be split from the team. Which is one less zone potential and threat once the fight breaks out. Lane bullies only work if the enemy team picks a mid that doesn't have safe wave clear. So you're kind of enemy team dependent on that.

Bigger problem is that her build path sucks, you can't split push with botrk only anymore and botrk/pd isn't strong either.
Vayne can always go the standard IE/PD/LW/BT/Scimitar route. I think that the instance on botrk is holding vayne players back. If you're going to be a lategame carry might as well be a lategame carry. BF to Phantom Dancer -> finish as necessary.
Couldn't vayne even go the Triforce/bork ala Kog'maw? Am I missing something on why nobody builds triforce on Vayne? Not an adc player so I'm genuinely interested here.

Imo it's also pretty important to have a large magic damage threat so they can't just armour stack and get away with it. Lulu and Nunu aren't really enough imo.

She could but even if/when Q is maxed it tends to be a reposition/safety ability. Going triforce means that you have to Q on CD in order to keep up in damage which puts your escape/dodge on cooldown.

I mean, things like Urgot for Zed is a solid pocket mid pick for a protect 4 comp. Just completely make him useless. Also I'm pretty sure in lane Urgot > Zed, if keane hadn't fucked up so epically in lane, pretty sure he would have continued dumpstering on Bjergsen.

Reddit front page montage of ap shaco reking box box's riven, and various other highlight reel.
pretty much as a rule if something weird suddenly appears in your games check the frontpage of reddit because it's either a pro or a highlight video that spawned it

I don't think you can afford to go BF first, you really need sustain on her since you can't really trade vs sheen Corki/Kog, Graves BF etc.

I think you can. BotRK isn't much sustain(10% life steal only and you don't vamp on the on-hit) so you don't lose much by just buying pots or a vamp or multiple Dorans blades on your way to your core build.
The main thing you lose is the 1 item dueling timing.
lmao watching dl duo with kieth is so funny. keith feeds like 6 kills in lane as kalista. still manages to win game. this explain his stint in Liquid? Lose lane win game? :D

Then you could do the illuminati Shaco style triangles in lane for maximum spook
