It's super obvious we're not even close to that point yet, and it's also super obvious that there are too many other factors in the way to be able to start making any reasonable conclusions about the subject without donig some kind of full-on clinical study. The least harmful approach to take is to just assume that everyone has the capabilities to compete in video games until there's convincing evidence that that might not be the case. Anyway, I'm pretty sure we're on the same page here. I agree that it seems like a business move, but are they actually worried about some team fielding a significantly-LGBT team that everyone hates and bad things happen? That seems like kind of an absurd scenario, now that I think about it.

It's nothing to do with people hating some LGBT people, it's like, if you want the best players you watch the normal leagues, if they want to watch women's leagues not many men are going to watch just to support them (women might, there's also that factor of putting yourself in their shoes or w/e) so sex appeal is a real factor I would say. You can't host tournaments with a budget of rainbows and equality, bills have to be paid.

I can't tell if this is political correctness gone full stupid or just trying to make sure your teams are marketable to a male audience because clearly no man could ever support a gay or trans player..except when they do. It's like a buffet of stupid at Garena apparently. Again, you're looking at it in a negative way. There are no restrictions for trans players in regular tournaments as far as I know. If there are any good enough to be on the mens team they could be. This is a tournament that has to have appeal other than the pure skill level. Maybe if asians are too dominant in vidyas games we'll have to have white guy only tournaments with a max of 1 1/2 korean guy. LOL

The brains of men and women are not the same. They are actually very different, right from the moment we are born. People who think that men and women have equal opportunity to be the best at games that doesn't heavily depend on physical factors (muscle mass, heart size, etc.) are wrong. Note that I'm not saying here that men are better than women (or the other way around for that matter). What I'm saying here is that they are different from each other, also on a neurological level. To me, it seems reasonable that females who are biologically male (transgender), should compete in the category they belong to biologically. That doesn't mean that they can't identify as male/female/whatever. I do however find it very discriminating that females are allowed in the male category, but that the reverse isn't true. Females being allowed in the male category is a symptom of viewing males as superior beings. They should be more strict with this (truly separating the categories), or allow cross participation both ways (effectively merging female/male categories). The lack of differentiation between "gay/transgender" in the original statement seems to me to be a matter of broken english. Excluding females from the category they belong to biologically based on their sexual preference is a ridiculous concept, and I can't imagine that is their intent. Are you implying that men would be unwilling to cheer for a lesbian player? A trans player? Because that's outright stupid. I'd argue leagues like this are doomed to the small time not due to a skill difference or guys wont watch girl gamers but due to the viewer burnout of having so many leagues to choose from at this point. Rather or not a team has a trans or lesbian on it doesn't mean jack shit to making or breaking the league. It's a retarded rule.

There has to be something unique about the league. It's not the best skillwise, so why watch it? The women's only is their main attraction. Male-dominated viewerbases will be less attracted to trans and lesbians players as to female players or so we may assume.

Even if you think of every man who watches this is just wanting to see boobs they are not going to be against lesbians. Ignoring that marketing stupidty, people want to see good players and good games, regardless of gender, preference etc.

As I said there are no restriction for these players to join the mens teams as long as they meet the skill requirements I don't intend to watch the league because If I'm going to watch I want to watch the best players I'm just interested in the discussion

Having a straight male is too much, but having one gay male on your team in a female-only tournament is ok? What message is that supposed to send?

if they allow gay dudes on the womens team anyone can say they are gay also there are probably really good gay dudes in pro teams and we probbably don't even know about their sexuality because we don't need to same thing about lesbians they can just say they arent lesbians its really fucking dumb at least the trans thing had a gray area because of its history with sports and shit I'm not trying to defend them I'm just trying to come up with some justification for why they aren't total retards but they are straining it

There really isn't any data out there about male and female brains when applied to video games so they really are just working off the gray areas that has come up in sports. Besides there is a lot more to video games then just mental abilities.
