What does 'Challenger tournament' mean for the Korea Regionals? Is it just the same as previous years with the gauntlet being seeded according to circuit points?

7-10th? Does that mean they're adding two more slots next season

Would be nice to get a section on the right column with all the Circuit/Championship Points per Region!

I'm excited to see more Korean teams play, i think adding more slots will increase the competition and allowed more of the SoloQ talent to be exposed to the western world.

It means that it will be like last year where one challenger advances if he wins

I'm still not really sold on this automatic qualification for Summer teams.

While I can understand the reasoning for it, I preferred it when consistent performance was rewarded since brackets and team match-ups can impact the results. I don't think KTA were better than White, or even Blue, when they won Summer 2014 for example. Having said that the teams that win the most recent 'split' definitely do deserve some recognition for being the team that looks strong coming into Worlds.

I think my favourite system was what the LPL did last year for first seed, where the winner of Spring and Summer play each other to determine who gets the seed. That or just straight circuit points.

Couldn´t agree more to this. Why not just go by Points all the way? Just add Spring and Summer Split. Nr1 and 2 by Points qualify automaticly and 3rd Slot determined by Regional Tournament. 1 First Place is 90 Points which is a huge deal already and is making it hard for all the other teams to surpass you in Points. 1st Place Spring + 5th Place Summer is equal to being 3rd both Splits, if you don´t do that weird "Summer gives more Points" thing.
Actually what´s the reasoning about giving summersplit more points than Spring anyway? You had to do the same effort to achieve a good rank in both Splits so why should summer be worth more?

So if you get into LCS in summer you have a fighting chance of getting to worlds (because you won't have any spring points).

Will I think Kt arrows and the cj teams of season 3 would disagree. Sword was given a seed to worlds over them based on there ogn winter and nlb circuit points despite being a shitter team in spring and summers league that year.

Because Spring split both contribute to Worlds qualification and MSI qualification, while the Summer split only contribute to Worlds.

Before the existence of MSI, A Spring champion is worth equal to a Summer champion in Korea/China.
