yeah i think ill just read reddit to see the results of this. Zuna also played in the LCS for a year, don't blame man.

Anyone else that is worried that Riot has not release any information regarding the bracket stage of world championship? I swear if samsung blue and white magically ended in the same side of the bracket..

I actually think this current game is pretty good. Didn't expect Legacy to play/team fight this well. Pretty sure they are considered underdogs going into this thing so it makes the game more interesting.
Back to the LR thread although more interested in the finals tomorrow than these games.

Privately conducted group draws make perfect sense.
Firstly, not all qualifiers end at the same time. Draws (at least seeds like 1st place NA goes to group A, etc...) needs to be done ahead of time w/out knowing who the teams necessarily are otherwise teams can potentially not have enough time to get their visas in place. Doing an OGN-style group drawing is cool, but ultimately won't work due to time constraints.
Second, if draws are public, that leads to potential match fixing or soft play on the part of qualifying teams. Ex. Say 1st seed NA is known to be placed with Samsung Blue. Then the NA playoff grand finals will consist of the two teams playing like shit and trying to lose so they don't get seeded into the group with Blue.
Also, honestly who cares? No two teams from the same region are supposed to end up in the same group. Plus, since there are 3 teams from each of the four big regions, you will undoubtedly end up with region kills early on the bracket stage no matter what. whether it's KR v. KR, CN v. CN, or West v. West.

Ahri's getting popular again as well. I started to ignore Yasuo because I thought they nerfed Q CD to 1.6s but they only changed min cast time >_> Probably gonna start banning him again There was a rather hilarious quote from a Rioter recently about why Vi isn't played top lane. One of reasons was that she has "meaningful mana costs". I find the usage of the word meaningful absolutely comical.

Really? The way her Q works and how all-in she is has much more to do with that (I guess the TP craze would actually help her gank bot and stuff once 6 though), even if you reduced Xin's costs he wouldn't suddenly get played more there (apart from the "novelty" post-buff) and she's worse than him in that regard, with weaker early all-ins.

She's got a lot of cool gameplay in top lane with the Q charge up and E cleave but, honestly, she's just too fair up there for too long compared to our current crop of top laners. In the early game she has meaningful mana costs, telegraphed attacks, and massive cooldown windows for her passive and all of her spells (P - 18, Q - 18, E - 14 per charge, R- 150). Thread post

Oh. Yeah, the cooldowns and telegraphed parts are much more significant than her mana costs up there. Can't remember if Smash maxes E or Q, he started by maxing E in top lane, and did it in the jungle too but he quickly switched to Q (tbh I was baffled at the amount of people who stuck to E, or even after moving to Q kept maxing E second, at the time, took more than a month even for a bunch of high level people to adapt).

alistar is so fuckin broken atm.
also isn't sona good for mf? I remember sona being my favorite support to play with when playing mf i think alistar's very strong, but personally don't think he's broken. You can counter pick him pretty easily. I've had a really hard time against Nid and a well-played Maokai. Nasus also "wins" that matchup really hard since Ali can't really bully Nasus out of lane and Nasus effectively gets free farm and free Q stacking in that matchup. Although I will say it's kinda hilarious how many champs are quickly surging up to top tier status with simple mana cost reductions. Mao got (mostly) mana cost reductions and is now a must pick/ban. Alistar appears to be going down the same road. Just goes to show how important gating is. RE: Bans, Jax is also a lot easier to shut down now too after the hp nerfs. He can't afford to just go Triforce+Bork every game and be ok. He has to fit in an earlier defensive item, which is also a bit tricky since all the defensive items got nerfed. dunno about NA but korean ali's are so good. both top and support. i've gotten wrecked by so many ali's its ridiculous. there's also a whole bunch of ali mains here which kinda surprised me. 7 ping does help with getting the combo 100%.
Same goddamn shit in China atm. Alistar soooo fucking broken strong
How the fuck do you counter pick Alistar because his DISENGAGE combo at level 1 already hits hard. Then after Sheen that DISENGAGE combo becomes closer in damage to a straight nuke.
TF Shiv FH milkcow is unstoppable no kidding.
He cant carry a game but hes definetely god at fighting and disrupting multiple people at once, constantly, while being ridiculously tanky and having enough burst to combo down squishies.

So is Rengar dead again?

TBH since they didnt actually touch his other spells I doubt he'll be that bad. Hes still the most violent champ ive ever played
|
Rango still godly and can solo carry if you are good on him.Like always.

akali is getting popular again and makes me want to ban her, such a dumb champion always gets fed on random roams and theres literally nothing u can do but jsut die
|
Her damages are good, but much like Riven she becomes useless when cc is involved.
|
that could be said about every champion

Akali has been hovering around 55-60% winrate in diamond-challenger here in china for a couple months now. Shes definetely fun, and utilizes the most mindgames. No idea why shes not as popular elsewhere.
And no Jesus christ ask any of the challenger Riven mains in china and korea what they think about her. Shes pretty broken in the right hands, but unlike akali, who can buy FULL TANK with Zhonyas and STILL CARRY...
Obviously this is still all outdated info with the Alistar and maokai top lanes causing general hardening/loosening of stools
Good akalis who play top lane can definetely easily carry themselves out of lower leagues with teleport tho. Shes does extremely well vs most of the AD melee carry lanes including Red Pot Ignite Fiora, Riven, Jax, Panth etc by simply starting cloth 5 and spamming Q on them, while never proccing it unless E or they all in. Shes definetely annoying as hell and pretty broken if not dealt with properly.
