Since if it was using established MMR there's no way you'd be matched with the jungler from T8 unless you're challenger or at least high diamond. I'm Silver btw Thats just Riots matchmaking at work.

Because one time when I was making a team I got the jungler from T8, Porpoisepops, however you spell it, on my team and he just basically beat the other team by himself lol So, as far as I'm concerned theres no fresh mmr I got him the day after it came out, there is fresh mmr im sure lol. ive had games with people from every divison in it, and then ive had games of all similar people just dont play it as much i dont think so you can run into ye old 5man diamond fuck you in the ass team

Also, Rengar isn't good, in my opinion. The nerfs hit him way too hard and there's really no reason to play him over other strong junglers aside from "I like this champion!" Which, don't get me wrong, is cool, but I don't consider him top-tier in solo queue or arranged play. Wukong is still so under the radar...

I played with/against a few Wukongs the past few days, and I have to say he seemed really strong out of the jungle but not really that common. I've just been having a very easy time with stuff like Maokai/Amumu in Solo Q the past couple days, y'know, standard Season 2 stuff.

I think people complain way too much about riots matchmaking, it is actually pretty good in comparison to some other things i have seen. For example, if you create a smurf, you will very quickly, as in in maybe 10 games, find yourself on smurf island with the other smurfs. This can be really annoying if you want to play with a friend who isn't into LoL yet, but also shows that the matchmaking is really good in actually matching you with people of your skilllevel quickly. If you play something like Smite for a while, where legitimate maxlevel accounts sometimes play in games with people with less than 10 games who are not smurfs, and all sorts of other weird behaviour leading to extremely uneven games occurs a lot, and you will very quickly find that "OMG i am silver and there was a guy who has gold in another queue in the same game as me" riot matchmaking is actually pretty good.

And with all the jungle champ nerfs recently, not a ton of jungle champs are left that can deal a reasonable amount of DPS while still going tanky. The only ones that probably can are Vi, Maokai and possibly Skarner. Elise still can do % HP damage, Lee is still OK in early game for the damage, and Eve's stealth is why she is still relevant, but if you are going to be looking to go full tank, its gotta be one of the 3 I named.

I think everyone and their mother knows he's a strong pick in 90% of situations

Wukong passive is awesome. His real passive allows you to only build one defensive item and still not get blown up (long enough for full ult). The passive on Q means you can just stack AD all day long and never worry about LW... I <3 Wukong.

I think it's kinda funny how he went from top tier must pick jungle to never seeing any competitive play with just one set of reasonably minor nerfs.

Look at what they said about the rework: These changes are to give Maokai more of a 'core' identity as a defensive peeling support tank who can disrupt the baddies that jump on his squishy friends. Some of you might be asking: why so much change for the tree? Old Maokai might not be the strongest jungler on the scene but he's still very capable of shutting down entire lanes in the early to mid game while not contributing much to later teamfights. These updates let us balance around new Maokai kit without bringing back the Maokai pain train of Season 2 (such nonstop reliable tower dives, wow). Well, not only not a description of how Maokai is being played, but also not the role they wanted.

Of course, but I also like how he basically is a zone controlling, unkillable tree, and peeling has almost nothing to do with it. I don't know if that is because he doesn't do that, out because diving and engaging is so neutered that peel is an afterthought.
