Even post-patch he can still go oom pretty fast if you spam too hard. before, Maokai was usually laned mid where he could get blue buff to cover his mana issues early on before he gets a big mana item. | ||

The new ultimate is ridiculously strong. Fairly easy to keep at least 2 others in range of it, and maokai's kit punishes diving so incredibly hard. His E also is invaluable for checking baron from really long range. Basically impossible to bait it when the maokai is too tanky to engage on even if you can break banshees+catch, and everybody else is sitting behind him. | ||
