Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

Even though I've played it a lot(and enjoyed it), I've still never understood why ARAM wasn't literally All Random with all champs unlocked for that mode only. I thought it was a lack of capability of the client, but One For All has proven that to be false(or, even if it was once true, it is now something that exists).

That would be one of the worst business decisions ever.

I think ARAM should have all champs unlocked, no rerolls at all, and no trading characters.
But all champs is not going to happen because riot will not add a permanent game mode that bypasses the need to spend tons of money / time to unlock champs. They like money too much for that.

You used to be able to "carry" with udyr add other shit aram champs by rushing those items.

that's not how you spell warmogs

Nor FoN. Although the Orb of Winter item isn't too bad per se, it's just not enough with shitty build-up.

regarding twitch's youmuu ghostblade build, do you get shiv or ghostblade 1st after ruin king?

I don't mind rerolls and trading. At the end of the day ARAM is still supposed to be fun and some champs just aren't fun. It's not like rerolls are unlimited or anything. The benefit of unlocking all champs would be that people might find champions they like and then buy them for Summoners Rift.
Also I can't find the source right now, but I remember reading a Riot post about them unlocking a set of the older characters that would be permanently unlocked for all accounts. I'm waiting for them to do that because it would be so much easier to get new people to play the game rather than dealing with the free champion rotation.

Kind of like how people exaggerate how they get "feeders and leavers" on only their teams. In truth I suspect there are very few ARAM-only accounts. Instead, there are a large number of accounts that have the popular ARAM champs (who doesn't own Sona) as part of an otherwise limited champion pool, and a large number of people that will dodge/reroll until they get the champs they want.

I really don't believe so, but this would be an entirely subjective debate so whatever.

there might not be many "aram only accounts" but theres still a large amount of people who will dodge if they dont get the right champion, or who will afk at fountain if their team isnt on paper good at aram.
when you add all that up it comes to like 10-20% of people.

Like I just got done with a really frustrating game and the main reason we lost was due to lack of vision, even though I was doing all I could to ward and sweep. The team itself was ok, but only me and the ADC were warding. And even after I called the support out on no sightstone he continued to not get it (or even use his trinket ward) and we just slowly lost vision, then control of dragon/baron, then the game due to them being like 8k gold ahead of us at 30 minute mark.
I try to be logical about it to them (vision wins games, objectives > kills, picks lead to objectives, etc.), and even ask them to throw it down somewhere even if it isn't in an ideal location. But no one else listened. You can't educate anybody. Even really good advice, like sometimes i say i want to push out bot to hit lvl 2 first, is usually met with severe anger by those who don't want to know and silence by those who already do. Just sit back and lead by example is the only way to go while maintaining your sanity. If you MUST say something, say it nicely in the post game lobby. I think it's fine to say something like "we need wards" if you're not targeting anyone. Eg. "Nami, buy more wards" It's only fine to say if you yourself are buying wards. And if you're saying it right after your death, basically implying is some one elses fault. Because then it's passive aggressive and bound to piss some one off. And yes all roles can buy wards. I buy pink in every role and place it some where talk about cost effective they will last 20+ mins sometimes.
When I jungle warwick I get 2 health pots and a pink and place it at the baron death bush, great for the ~3 min 1st gank try, and it often lasts for the entire game (or untill baron dancing starts) I think it's one of the better starts you can have with a champ atm.

I do it quite often, especially checking the standardized pink bushes, but I can understand how it happens. You're looking at the minimap/champ your ganking for, so you not at yourself, and in the heat of the moment you can't really slow to check for a pink
|
why don't you just a-move through a brush then
|
|
Yeah you definitely don't need any health pots as WW, I do like grabbing a mana pot on backs though as his Q is just so mana intensive.
