He doesn't kill shit as easily as others because his mobility just isn't that good (only E basically, compare that to Akali, Zed, Fizz, Riven, etc.) even though his combo at level 3 or 4 can hit hard (he'll take damage too doing it and with E's long cd early on the enemy laner can pot up and keep harassing; he won't 100-0 you at level 6 either like Fizz orr Riven, and he doesn't have poke like Akali or Zed to soften you up with Rake's flat 10s and 600 range). However, because his numbers aren't that bad if he can get one or two autos in on top of his combo, if he gets ahead he can execute people really well and, like Riven, a big chunk of his damage is AoE so he can wreck early dragon fights and skirmishes and get double kills bot too. The short cd on his ult means that compared to Rengar, Zed, etc. if he gets ahead he'll put more pressure on the map because of how often he'll be able to kill you. On the other hand he falls off really hard, has no escape nor defensive steroids (he'll miss out on half of R's damage on his target if he tries to use it to escape), Rake isn't amazing early and that only gets worse later on, E and W keep a long-ish cooldown all game long, etc. If he could keep 1v1ing people (won't happen vs stuff like Jax Trundle or Shyvana) he could splitpush decently due to Rake and Tiamat one-shotting the wave and Q working on towers with a super low 4s cd at max level. He does well on melees in lane because he can punish a last hit with an auto-Q combo and it hurts at low level (hilariously enough, till Sion gets some AP if he tries to get Talon with his shield Talon can just auto-Q and destroy the shield). | ||

It's just not as good a metric as how well you can play a specific champion. But wanting to learn Talon over Zed because Talon has a 52% win rate to Zed's 46% is fine. | ||
