Tested in a normal just now. Noncrit Q = 605 damage to wight, Crit Q = 1512 damage to wight. That's exactly 2.5 times as much (I had IE). One Ferocity Q did 1560 damage to a 120 armor target. IE, BT, SOTD, LW, Hydra. After that Q, you have a normal Q, W, E, Hydra active and almost 200% increased attack speed with the Q and the first auto being crits from SOTD active. | ||

If you were running that as your strategy in a 5's game you'd need way to get him to farm that much which probably means putting him in a a 2v1 vs a top laner with a support protecting him and getting him some jungle farm as well, and having an extraction plan post jump from the ult, something like kayle or zilean on the team. it'd be a hassle to do in league. not too out of the question, but i'd be concerned about how you'd run your off lane and jungler in the game with that kind of focus on rengar. | ||

Why can't you just do what Ryan Choi is doing? Rush tiamat, camp their ADC where ever he's on the map, get a kill for every ult. Just pick up farm where and when you can, tiamat rengar is pretty good at clearing waves and jungle quickly. And you get a fair amount of gold from just killing people with ult. Seems to work in NA challenger. I'm not too concerned about LCS level games, but he could see some play there as well, who knows. Just being able to stop their ADC from ever farming a sidelane solo is pretty powerful, especially considering how early you can do it. Only thing that I can think of that could work is having pinks/upgraded sweeper on the adc coupled with and exhaust on the ADC. But even then, you'd have to exhaust him mid jump, or your be dead before you get the exhaust off. Edit: Theorycrafting is not really that useful though. They should just fix his Q so that only his AD is multiplied by crits, not the whole spell. Pretty much every other auto attack reset in the game works like that afaik, no reason for rengar to mess with that logic. | ||
