she also has massive outplay potential and i think she's been nerfed enough at this point that feeling good about playing well with her is permissible

Might try Fiora, her level 1 is god tier. Of course, then I'm stuck playing Fiora. Darius maybe?

god this is spot on. I'm stuck in high plat/low diamond mmr for months, even though I have a pretty good kda and win my lane often. Players like phantoml0rd and regi are having difficulty getting into diamond 1. The game just feels so ridiculously hard to close out, you need to really have every lane win by an absurd amount to win before 30 minutes now. User was warned for this post

Seriously, I don’t agree. You just need to play teamfights better and make better decisions.

Solo queue does often hinge on who has the most CaughtShotGGs on their team, but your chance of getting caught is so much greater when behind. Sufficiency, do you have game length data?

Yesterday I lost a game going 26/7 as jinx, and another today going 11/2 as graves, and I barely won an hour long game going 18/8/23 as ezreal. In my games where I play mid, I'll get a kill or two on my lane opponent, but it doesn't seem to fucking matter at all, especially if it's an early kill. Get a kill when first blood is worth basically nothing, and you can come back to lane with a couple more pots and a ward, yay. That, and dragon is shit gold early, so I can't kill my opponent and rotate to dragon, because it's not worth it at all considering the risk.

Yes, but only for the recent games. I don't have data from, say, season 3 to compare to.

There's less vision because the support can't do it all by himself anymore (that one's on the players though). In previous seasons a team with, say, Kennen and Malphite would very easily force fights, leverage an advantage to initiate under the enemy tower, win the fight fast and take the objective. The current meta has much more sluggish fights (see how Renekton trumps pretty much every offlaner and Shyvana is queen of late game scaling), making it harder to dive because you have to tank the turret much longer to win the fight. The increase in mobility (in general but also amongst the pool of popular champions) and skillshots (over the ~40 abilities in a game) also makes initiation and this kind of dives less reliable. The meta makes Banshee's Veil popular, which is an obstacle for initiators unless their team is efficient at breaking the shields (hint: it's soloQ) making it harder to hard initiate (or these picks fall off harder) the longer the game goes and people get geared. On the other hand, you have stuff like Nidalee who takes the slow approach, LB who has trouble sniping people during sieges, Ziggs who while good at pushing and taking towers is also cancer-level waveclear, Gragas used to do the same... Poke usually suffers against hard initiation, who in turn generally suffers against Banshee's... unless they have poke themselves. BV was already good before, but comboing the smashing of SV (which made people rediscover BV) and the popularity of picks "countered" by BV like LB tilted the scales way toward the current situation. TL;DR: pls gief Wukong/Malphite/Kennen/Alistar/Amumu back.

Possible, but requires extra coding and data mining. When you pull the game data from a player it does not provide which league the player is in. But I do save the player's name (id) so technically I can go back to retrieve the league information for each player retroactively. I suspect lolking already has the game length data filtered by league.

I tried Jax but that didn't go as well as I would have liked. He does soooo much damage right from level 1, it's nuts. If TL doesn't have a good answer I'm going to start picking Yorick against him, huehue. Maybe Jayce? Could probably fuck em up at level 3

It feels like being 3-0 in lane with a good cs advantage isn't really that big of an advantage anymore, especially if someone else on the other team basically cancels it out by being about that fed himself. The game definitely feels like the individual player has a lot less of an impact, which I guess is what riot wanted, but it makes solo queue really retarded. Of course an enemy being equally as fed as you roughly cancels out. What else would you expect?
