It is very unlikely that I will hit diamond, and I don't like attempting to hit plat on my smurf which does not have a lot of champions.
EDIT: I feel like an MMO. Wildstar? FF14? Hmmmm who knows, u might do better on ur smurf. my smurf has been higher than my main for all of s4 and I have quadruple the amount of games played on my main.
My smurf's champion pools are very limited. Often I am forced to play champions I have barely played before. Also right now I don't have a lot of runes and I have to use MS quints for everything.
I could buy some more champions, but I also need more runes. I might refund Nocturne altogether (I gave up on the idea of playing only Noc) to free up some IP for the rune sale.
So, currently:
Top: looks really bad. All I got are Nasus and Soraka. I am not good at neither. I don't have Trundle, Shyvana, Vlad, or Rumble which I am more comfortable with. I might buy Warwick on my smurf later.
Jungle: looks pretty good. I got Amumu already; and after 20+ games I think I am fairly comfortable on Nocturne if I decide to not refund him.
Mid: risky. If I can't play Katarina, I will be forced to play Twisted Fate or Annie. My TF is OK, but TF is weak right now. My Annie is entirely untested.
ADC: I got Ashe and I am only willing to play her. I haven't been forced to play anything else yet (the only thing else I got is Sivir). Hopefully I won't get called up for this role because I suck at it.
Support: looks really bad. Leona at 4800IP is a bit too expensive. I basically have to play Janna and get bullied for god knows how long before I am useful. I might buy Morgana.

Saltyteemo may or may not have found a 2(TWO) ELO game, if it ever switches this will be amazing.
E: and a mod shuts it down because of too many priority players being in the game >.>..... Bullshit

Also some bruisers (jax, renekton etc) sometimes just get hexdrinker early-ish against ap lanes (like the guy above mentioned with rumble.)

As mentioned above, bruisers also occasionally get it if laning against someone with large amount of magic damage (although not always; sometimes it's just better to get lifesteal)

I think having a smaller champion pool is a good thing. I've only played 5 or more games on 6 champion this season.

Maw is hilarious on Warwick. People are like okay the Warwick is super low, we have to kill him. Then you get a 400 health shield, q back a ton of health, and troll away. Especially fun watching a triple AP comp try to deal with a Warwick with spirit visage and maw after their ADC gets obliterated.

Wits end is far more hilarious on Warwick versus AP comp. You ult someone and they basically die from procs + your Q, R, Q.

i wish there was some kind of sandbox test map in lol, i want to know what does more dmg bortk or trinity irelia and how big of hp difference would be if they both dueled
|
Should be pretty obvious that botrk irelia wins a 1v1 with % lifesteal and active but which does more damage is a good question
|
Triforce is generally better for burst/short trades, killing squishies, etc. while BotRK is superior for long trades, all-ins, etc. I'd say triforce gives you better kill potential especially early on, but as time goes by BotRK becomes better because it's harder to burst people down (especially as Irelia who basically peaks at 9-11 then falls down, and Hiten Style doesn't scale well with farm at all).

Also they are doing a rune sale soon due to the rune changes.
For starters, we're very aware that rune costs are a pain point for many players, so with the upcoming rune balance changes, we'll be kicking off a 30% off Rune and IP Boost sale that will last from the start of the next patch through the end of April.

I agree that she peaks at around level 7-9 (depending on match-up). Though Hiten style scales well with attack-speed, the downside is that the scaling only resides in mid-game, so when you reach the point where most people are level 16+, you offer little to nothing in terms of damage versus tanks, and your only resolution is pretty much to try and dive hard onto the carries (which in certain situations can be pretty fucking impossible).
