Probably the only champ with mana I can see doing well (when the players are at even footing) against the croc would be Trundle*, but even then you have problems because he builds damage and out trades you because your ult doesn't take very many resists off of him. So far the best top lane pick for me against him is Shyvana. Maxing E gives you a lot of damage for poke and makes CS easier if he zones, and Burnout gives you a lot of counter engage potential if he slice/dices to get to you. Her ult is also great for escaping him, and the dragon is just as big a presence in teamfights if not more so because dragon form is such a reliable engage tool. Mundo is good pick if you now for sure you survive the early game, but it's really easy to just get stomped and feed so it's not something I'd recommend. But yeah, just my scrub two cents. Laning against him is pain, one of the main reasons I try to avoid top lane whenever possible. *possible I'm forgetting someone very obvious here, take with a grain of salt. edit: Oh yeah I forgot pick Lulu, tell jungle to come at 3, and laugh in his face, it's actually hilarious how easy that matchup can go downhill for the croc. Harassing him is like wasting mana due to his Q. you used to be able to pick shyvana and it was kind of an even skill matchup with you having better scaling, after the shyv nerfs i think you just have to wait for renekton "changes". although maybe now with the doran's shield nerf you can abuse him with like a lulu or a kennen sacrificing your teams tankiness for not getting crushed in lane. | ||

I know from experience. D: You should max W not E. W will give more damage while E is still gonna burn 2% health an auto. I've never ever had a single problem vs Renekton as Shyvana even early just bully the fuck outta him | ||

He's waiting for you to put w on to dash away, using his q/w to fight you when you try to farm. Obviously don't just run up to him like a moron, that wouldn't work no matter what champ you're against. I'm also not saying that w max can't work, it just seems to me like a lot of the damage could be worked around from the croc's point of view. | ||

If he goes damage you outright rape him regardless also | ||

Like it was mentioned, Vayne is probably the only champ I know that can go even then outscale in lane. | ||

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRADE OTHERWISE. If (and only if) you have minion advantage try to taunt him and initiate that trade auto q auto. Othserwise just harass with q auto when you have both up and he goes for cs. Rush sunfire cape, (giant belt first) after lvl 9 the lane becomes really easy for you because you out trade him. And after sunfire you can just bully him for the rest of the game. Do not die to him lvls 1-4. Run ignite vs him. Also. lvls 1-4 there's a very high chance you'll be pushed to tower. lane ganks are really strong if your jungler has any form of cc. I'm only a plat 1 jungler/support so my understanding of top lane is very limited, but I love picking shen into renekton. | ||
