On another note, I would like to appeal my team's ban from this league: Ok, you guys are all banned from playing. Your entire team is. If you guys are just here to troll and not take things seriously, feel free to stop posting here as well. My appeal is founded on two premises: 1) That "trolling" may be prevalent in solo-queue, but the term does not carry any meaning in an amateur-level team vs. team format. Every team should have the right to decide what to pick/ban themselves and not be subject to any constraints or limited to drafting champions considered "politically correct". While pro teams may "troll" other teams on occasion, the "trolling" is fundamentally based on the large following of fans those teams have, so that by beating another team with "troll" picks it can be considered a form of disrespect for another team and fanboys will have something to lord over another group of fanboys about. Our team is a newbie team assembled from a group of friends who just want to improve, so naturally we have no fan following and we wouldn't have anything to gain in prestige from winning and losing. 2) That if you still disagree with my first premise and you are afraid we are planning to pick cheesy heroes and bm other teams after winning with such cheesy picks (which we're not - the only reason I am mentioning it is because I find it difficult to imagine how to troll in a team vs. team format) you can check with league organizers and team captains on TeamLiquid who can vouch for our reputation of mannered play in TL community leagues we've entered in the past (Liquid Pasture Community League Seasons 2 and 3) [1][2]. Based on these two premises, I think you may have misunderstood my light-hearted humor in the team application as disrespect or not taking the league seriously (which is my fault since I am a jocular person who might joke at inopportune occasions at times), but if that is the only problem you have with us I think you should give us a second chance to create a second application [3]. I also wasn't aware that the highest rank allowed was Gold 1, so I can find someone else to replace our Plat 3 guy if that's the only thing keeping us from participating. i need to get /out, i simply don't have the time i thought i'd have last week. additionally, i believe i misread something in the OP and i thought there were going to be multiple divisions. i don't think i'd be much of an asset in terms of teaching others and i'd rather be a lowbie in the league than a team leader. i'm really sorry if this screws up our team :x if i need to find a replacement let me know also, to answer a question above, jpak is not the high elo jpak from jpak and friends. | ||
