I still have the opinion that they're going in the wrong direction with supports. Also they forgot Cow.
Bushwhack still lasts far too long IMO. 8 secs on vision is fine, but shred should be 5 or less.
Context: The player experience for last hitting under turrets was inconsistent between high attack damage champions and supports or mages. We've adjusted turret base damage and damage against minions to make last hitting under turrets more consistent across all roles.

At all. Seriously, is it that hard to practice a champion enough to know when you need to use a skill to pick up a last hit, how to prep minions, etc? All that time spent practicing just went down the drain.

Context: Single-minded pushing and proxy farming are fairly destructive methods of playing the game, mostly due to the fact that those champions are not accurately valued for their participation in the game.
Every 1000 gold earned from minions / monsters reduces your death spree by 1 death

stuff like swain was pretty stupidly gimped due to difficulty auto attacking under turret. It also nullifies a lot of power difference between kits with waveclear (early on) vs kits that didn't have waveclear.

Is it really too hard for Riot to balance around this as an acceptable shortcoming of the hero that can be compensated for through other advantages?

Yea, it seems to me that reducing the damage scaling from supports is idiotic. First, this is just going to make the difference between Pro, High Level, and Low Level games split even more. Low level players will not be interested in Janna's local movespeed increase from a deathcap, whereas pros and diamonds likely will. Second, the reason supports don't get gold now, is because even if they have an opportunity it takes too long to farm the waves (because no damage!), this isn't fixed. Lastly, supports already were too weak with farm from a battle scenario; for instance Sona ults and Q in ARAM was not "op" in the least, L-O-fucking-L at that explanation.

In my experience, Sona often had the most damage dealt in ARAM games iirc.
