I mean it's like, your smurf bro, you know how ezpz that is, please. Yeah, I know, it's pretty dickish, but the target really has been getting lower. I'm legitimately worse than I was in previous years and personally I don't think gold V is a sufficiently severe cutoff, on the basis that I made it without a million games. There is no way I should be getting the fancy ego skin.

Would you guys say that Gold 1 = ~High plat 4? depends on how much lp you're winning. If 20 pts or more a game. Probably plat 3. If more like 5pts a game more likely around plat v (minus all the trolls who start tankinh after getting in)

Like let's say you just got to level 30 and started to play ranked, would it take forever to get diamond? Assuming that you're diamond material, obviously you won't get to diamond if you suck, lol ![]() You can probably maintain 80+% winrate until you hit somewhere around mid plat, at which point it'll drop down to ~55-60%(Assuming D4 or so in skill). Some games you simply won't win(stuff like jungle tryn getting 4 kills by 5 minutes for example). Probably around 100-200 games to get to diamond though unless you're really, really fucking good. Something like annie/fiddle bot will be a challenge for the majority of bronze league, but for the most part, they're pretty fucking bad. Good for learning/practicing a new hero, not good for much else.

Like in sc2 back when I was high masters I leveled a smurf to masters in like 1-2 days, but it seems like LoL takes longer?

If my friend tries he can get any account to diamond 5 in around 1 to 2 weeks. He's low diamond 1 material. The part that takes the longest is plat 1 to diamond 5, pretty easy to get uncarryable games during promo series. This is about accnts in like 900 elo range. Lol. Fresh account takes like 3 or 4 days.

@Wei - so you're saying a fresh account just hitting level 30 can hit diamond in 3-4 days?

I've been playing a lot vs bots because I don't want to risk having to play multiple long games for the daily, and this is basically it. Some bots carry really hard later in the game, so if you just feed them enough / only stay even in laning, you might get some actual mechanical practice later. They are often good at skillshots, but their movement suck. If you get mid lane, it can be decent practice at just crapping all over your opponent' experience, in a jungle-less scenario...

Personally, going from silver to gold was really damn easy. When I started ranked way back in S1 I got to gold in like a day from silver. Getting out of gold took me a good amount of time in S2. Once I got to plat I moved up to plat 1~2 in a few days and been mostly stuck there, although I was playing against Diamond 4~5 players.

Was just curious because I have friends that are taking months to get promoted and I was like they're either terribad and not improving or the system is tough. Must mean they're where they should be. Silver 3 took me a while to clear. Then I actually decided to play. Then was a breeze til gold 3. Still getting 20 lp per win, so my elo is higher than gold 3, which is cool to know. Also bonus pool is op'd in sc2, which probably helps progreaaion for those that don't play as often. Assuming you win all placement matches, and you get through your series. It's all about early matches. If you get high base elo. You'll be earning 30 lp a match for each win. That means you're only spending around 5 matches per division movement. If you're playing all day, 3 or 4 days to diamond 5 should be pretty simple if you're diamond 1 level.
