I mean I guess if the both teams had 0 poke that might be a situation where it isn't strictly worse than the 40% cdr build, but going into a fight full vs half is pretty much 90% of what makes Raka OP in aram.

Nami is a beast in aram.
It doesn't really matter that she has no builds, because she's so fucking good anyway. Just hit 40% CDR asap and then build auras or something, I don't know.

Well everytime I play aram as raka I'm always the last one targeted, so usually I end up getting tons of q damage.

Nami is an instant reroll for me. Supports with bad scaling are so worthless late on that map, she just does nothing compared to some random other pick.

I disagree, there are just usually bigger damage threats during teamfights. With burn dmg and cdr, raka reaches strong balance between damage and utility. The thing that makes her heals op'd is not the amount healed, but the armor buff that makes/breaks it.

Even if they kept their ratios I don't think it would be that great in s3. Adc nerfs, and accelerated gameplay would severely cripple this strat, maybe could work on vayne or corki due to strong single item timings.

If you don't have good AP ratios just say fuck it and buy stuff like Triforce, BotRK, BT, LW, or whatever good one-off or two-items timing offensive stuff you can put on a ranged AD in the remaining slots once your CDR is capped.
I mean that's like making Cait's kit magic damage and AP ratios and complaining that piling AP doesn't work that well on her. She's got 650 range, you slap IE/PD/LW on her and go ham anyway.

Vayne? Absolutely not.
The strat relied on staying alive for extended periods of time for Soraka's ridiculously high MR shred to stack up, so that heavy magic damage jungle+solo lanes+ADC (which is why you saw either Corki or Kog picked with it) deal amplified damage in addition to the disgusting anti-burst that both of them bring together. It wasn't a simple protect the ADC comp.

well, if you lowered cait's range by 100 and removed her passive and made her damage magic and gave her bad ap ratios... I guess that would be a pretty good analogy to aram nami? And I don't see how it would follow to go grail --> nomicon --> blade of the ruined king and pretend like that's not steaming garbage.

Oh thats true, didn't really take account of shred. Was thinking about the issue of early game accelerated teamfights.

ap raka was broken as fuck beacuse she could give herself mana and in the same skill instantly silence and deal damage to someone without any manacost.

People play AD Annie or Malz when they feel like trolling. Sure Nami has less range than Annie but stronger self-peel and her AS isn't garbage (she's also got more armour and AD and only slightly less HP).
I just mentioned BotRK because when you have to stack CDR you don't have as many slots to go the IE route, so better use items like BotRK, triforce or LW.
