Korea goes by circuit points which started in Champions Winter 2012-2013. NaJin Sword got first place for that tournament, getting 400 points. Then they won NLB Spring and Summer (NLB is basically top amateur teams + OGN teams that didn't make it into semis), therefore getting 100x2 points, giving them 600 points for first place. MVP Ozone got 2nd by getting 20 points in Ro8? in NLB Winter, winning Champions Summer which gave them 400 points. They got 3rd in Champions Summer which I think is 150 points. A total of 570 for second place. After Champions Summer, whoever held the 3~6th place spots in circuit points played off, 5th place vs 6th place, winner of that vs 4th place, winner of that vs 3rd place. Whoever won the last one went on to Worlds. CJ Frost and KT Bullets were tied for 4th,so they played a Bo3 to determine who got 4th/5th.

More importantly, I feel that allstars can be done in such a way that giving it more meaning than just "allstar match" is okay. If it was culturally treated like World Cup or something, I could totally see All Stars being a legitimate way of adding an extra slot to a region. Also, there needs to be some sort of point decay from previous tournaments over time, Black Swords previous tourney win shouldn't count for as much as recent one.

Premiere League: Champions Winter, Spring and Summer Minor League: NLB Winter, Spring and Summer Teams who do not make the top four of the Premiere League are automatically dropped down to the Minor League, NLB, where they will fight against each other and teams who weren't able to qualify for Premiere League. If you win the Minor League, you get 100 points. In the Premiere League, 4th gets you 100 (same as winning the Minor League), 3rd gets you 150, 2nd gets you 200 and first gets you a whopping 400 points. Throughout these six tournaments, the two teams who finished with the most are automatically in the World Finals. Third through six play in a King-of-the-Hill style tournament, where the winner of that Korea Regional goes to the World Finals. NaJin Sword won Champions Winter (400), NLB Spring (100) and NLB Summer (100), giving them 600 points and 1st place in Korea. MVP Ozone, with their win in Champions Spring (400) and third place finish in Champions Summer (150) also had enough points to qualify. Blaze, SKT, Frost and KT Bullets were then thrown into the KotH tournament. SK Telecom T1, by winning Champions Summer (400) and having third from Champions Spring (100) were the third highest team, making it so they ony needed to win one Bo5 to make Worlds. They faced the Bullets in the Regional final, won 3-1 and got the final spot.

Personally I didn't like the skills competition too much because it didn't really focus on typical matchups you would see and was just a 1v1/2v2 tournament anything goes. But I really do like how seriously they took it. Coming from the dota scene I think if you announced a tournament like that all the players would have just trolled and just tried to play joke games. Seems like in league of legends there's a lot of pride on the line per region and everyone wants to prove something.

Honestly NLB should just not give as many points as 4th place in OGN considering you can participate in it after failing to make it through OGN Champions group stages OR quarterfinals. 2x in a row Najin got knocked out early, then got equiv points to 4th place OGN. If it was only 50 points for 1st @ NLB then they wouldnt be ousting teams who had better overall OGN results (1st + semifinalist compared to 1st + quarterfinalist)

Other night I was playing and got stuck as teemo bot vs darius and caitlyn because we had 2 idiots arguing about both being top (and somehow they still died 2v1). I couldnt get close to anything on bot and lost the tower early. Lost in like 19 minutes, we were like 1-30. I tried jungle elise too, was largely not a good idea. Jungling is interesting trying to get used to. Also, as a jungler: If the enemy team isnt using a jungler is it a good idea to go take their red/blue buff? If the enemy isn't using a jungler, you can take their red/blue buff, but you should be careful while do doing so. (duh) For if the enemy has map awareness, they could easily come and intercept you at the buff and then kill you. I've wandered down from top lane to kill a enemy jungler that's tried to steal one of our buffs many a time. That being said, if they don't notice you or if you are playing a jungler with a very fast clear speed, I wouldn't think it would hurt to try. I mean, four buff camps is a lot, and you can have a lot of fun going from buff camp to buff camp while ganking in between. So essentially, use your judgement. If you think you can get away with it, then go for it. And because they don't have a jungler, I'd imagine that it'd be pretty easy to pull off. Just watch the minimap to make sure that people aren't coming for you when you do it. I'd ward up their jungle anyways just to be safe. Just my 2 cents.
