Staying up until 5 in the morning playing LoL and eating pizza was definitely a college only thing. To be honest, only time I actually had to stop gaming, was like midterm week, and finals week.
For me midterm week and finals week were the best to game because you didn't have homework!
HW in college? O.o
Yea I had homework in college. I went to a tiny college of 800 people by the name of Harvey Mudd. I guess it was weird. We did homework and learned stuff.

I guess different colleges different workloads. all the hw I got was a lot of my graduation requirement classes, mostly math classes.
heh, my bro really wanted to get into Harvey Mudd, got put on waitlist, decided to go to West Point instead.

Yeah, that's what I remember post secondary being. I had no time to party. That being said, I kind of got screwed by the professors I drew.

Didn't you know, it's cool to talk about how you go to college and pay them thousands of dollars to incur massive debt and then brag about how you didn't do anything.

favorite single player experience? I don't know if I can pick one. but KotOR, Braid, and the half life series.
multiplayer experience? I have always enjoyed multiplayer more. Mario kart 64, aoe2, scbw, call of duty (the original. rifles only no crosshairs - obviously a tryhard), halo 2/3, css, sc2, super smash 64, halo reach, and now league! chronological order too.
what was your first? mine was rayman. god that game was sooooo good. I still haven't finished it haha. but it was the first game I remember thinking Dayum I need to get my hands on more games. every song in rayman is an absolute firejam too.
oh man I got Rayman at a garage sale like ten years ago i beat Band Land last year SO HARD
Now, I'm not trying to start any conspiracy or anything, but don't people think it's strange that the singer from Smash Mouth, the fat dude from ICP, and Guy Fieri have never been in the same room together?

Another way of putting this is: Do you like the Fire Emblem Series?
If I was being completely honest, Fire Emblem has basically been a near-copy of itself repeatedly every time a new game is put out in a similar way Pokemon rehashes itself every time a new generation comes out. It's a solid series that does what it sets out to do on a consistent basis, and and sometimes makes some really nice quality of life changes that you're impressed by.
If Fire Emblem is a series you've enjoyed in general, you're going to enjoy this one. Just don't expect anything mind-blowing. And if JRPGs like this aren't the sort of games you enjoy playing, this isn't going to be the title that changes your mind. And if you've never played it before, you can't go wrong with it and you'll probably enjoy it.
That being said, here's a quick run down of some pros and cons if you want some more specific information...
Pros:
If you're new to the Fire Emblem series, it's one of the first games I'd recommend because the barrier to entry is really low and the tutorial system is much better than other games.
It has an overworld like in Fire Emblem Sacred Stones so it feels nice to see your world get bigger as you progress and explore.
The overworld also allows you to do grinding before story missions, so if you're playing in the harder modes you don't feel like you have to use certain characters just to be able to complete the game. You can use your favourite characters all the time!
There's a fk ton of characters. A metric fk ton. Also, you can get loads of older characters from previous games to tag along (non-story canon ofc) from wireless download (DLC and non-DLC)
Skills are now equipable instead of being class specific. So if you ever wanted to combine things like Pavise/Great Shield on a non-General, you can go wild. And some combinations are hilarious(ly broken)!
You can reclass units which means you can have a team of all Archers if for some reason you feel like it. Also, you should never feel like you can't obtain the item you so desperately need to promote a unit. (I'm looking at you Elysian Whips.)
Special weapons can be re-obtained (some only through DLC). So you don't have to feel so guilty about using the rare weapons or being a super thrifty hoarder.
As much flak as DLC gets in general, the DLC for FE is pretty good and it's not compulsory so it's not like you miss out on anything. A lot of it is lore, nostalgia characters, special challenges if you need something harder or just short cuts (for grinding Lunatic).
Dual language audio. Awwww yissssss!
On the subject of audio, the BGM is really good and the remixes of the older FE themes is great (I wish they brought back Tearing Shadows though)
If you really like Supports and finding out more about your characters, there's an insane amounts of Supports you can unlock. Also, Supports aren't limited to like 1xS, 2xA only or something so you can have as many A-level Supports as you want. (Still only a limit of 1 S-level support since that means marriage)
The new Pair Up system (where two characters can band up and fight together) is a nice mechanic.
Cons:
Lunatic+ mode is absolute bs.
There are so many characters it can feel almost overwhelming if you are OCD and need to grind perfect stats on them all. This is especially the case considering there are so many potential pairings, skills, Supports you can unlock, etc.
You can easily trivialise the difficulty of the game since there's so many opportunities to grind and power ahead of where the game thinks you should be. Then again, you can just play on a harder difficulty or play some of the DLC challenges...
Lunatic+ mode is absolute bs.
If you have an urge to unlock all the Support conversations... hahaha good luck with that.
There's no online mode (only StreetPass) so you can't play with people overseas. FE is mainly a single player game so it seems a bit odd to say this. But it would be nice to have online battles against your friends with that super team you worked to hard to grind for.
The characters don't really have feet so some of the in-game CG cutscenes are a bit weird. (The animated cutscenes though are drop-dead gorgeous omg)
The 3D effects (outside of cutscenes) aren't that great and can be a bit dizzying after a while.
