You live where ever then go to work(In this case the play with the pcs), do your training for the day then either stay or go back home. Means you get your personal space and still get the dynamic of all playing together. The current way people set it up just screams for poor living conditions and conflict. Living with friends is completely different to just being friends which people don't seem to grasp.
This so much.
I feel like the "gaming house" model was copied out of Korea, when it only came out of Korea for the sake of being economical, not because it was the most conducive to improvement.
I think most of the NA teams thought that they could just get a house together and their problems would magically disappear without working on them. It's not really copied out of Korea, as these teams have no managers or coaches to help with their life style choices. The coaches/managers in other countries care for both mental and physical health of their players. Overall, they probably didn't think it fully through, but it's not the worst idea. It's just that these NA teams are/were really young, and are still figuring some of these things out. After all, there are teams that seem to work well in the environment even without the house/mansion. C9 as an example seem to live in a small apartment together, and their results are far from bad.
I think it also stems from the fact that Starcraft being a solo game you couldnt be too mad at one of your teammates for doing bad (besides teamleagues but I think he could be replaced(?)). Your teammates are there to help you and you to help them, and if they are doing bad they arent bringing you down.
Also have to agree with previous posts, one thing is to live together for 3 weeks bootcamping and you can focus on the game and vent after the tour is over (see gambit or Dota2 TI western teams model), other is living 40+ weeks a year with your coworkers (and in TSM case, your boss). I agree that a model where they get a "workplace" to train and everyone lives by themselves is much more western-y.
When you make a bunch of people who rage in solo queue live together, not amount of managing will make it work.
Also, when you are the leader of a team, you just can't lash out at teammates no matter what, and obviously not on stream. Americans take criticism badly enough already.
I am now uploading a movie with the whole discussion and what becomes for the rage part of Dyrus... much respect for dyrus to keep his head cool for that time.
I think the whole regi/dyrus drama was just a show that was scripted and acted out for more gamecrib hype.
I'm actually surprised though that no modern esports teams have done what counter-strike teams did back in the day. They got themselves sponsorships with local net cafes that basically gave them their own room with computers in the cafe and let them play from there. Team gets a nice place to practice and the cafe gets a lot of exposure, and after the work day is over team members go home to their own homes.
I guess it would be hard on the players if they don't recieve a high enough salary from playing that you afford your own place.
I'm also surprised the idea of managers/coaches didn't carry over to western team houses. They seem like an integral part of Korean houses. Having no coach can probably work out fine with the right people, but I imagine that most people would almost require one to be able to perform optimally.
So do I start a new thread for this TSM drama discussion or does someone else want to do it? I'd rather not just sweep it under the rug when so many people here are interested in it.

Could someone answer this question, this is very crucial

I believe there are two kind of contracts Riot signs at the start of LCS. You can have a organisational contract and a 5man individual contract.
