At Riot, we love cinematics and we know many of you do too. For the last year or so we’ve been hard at work bringing a new cinematic to life. We know it’s been awhile since we unveiled anything like this!
The fascinating thing about working in a cinematic format is that it allows us to get up close and personal with our champions without the constraints of the frenetic, action-packed, moment-to-moment gameplay of League of Legends. Realizing the champions in such high fidelity challenges us in different ways, and when it all comes together the result is really powerful. Team members across the company pitched in to make sure we stayed true to the game’s iconic personalities. You might even notice a cameo by one of your favorite skins, or a nightmarish interpretation of Baron Nashor. From Annie’s bear, Tibbers, to Garen’s trademark spin, you’ll see how some League classics became fully-realized in CG.

garen's hair was my favorite. he was really ruggedly handsome without losing his toughness. he just looked like a beast the entire time. loved the interpretation of judgement as well. he should have silenced kat though!

Pretty sick cinematic other than that lol. Is the ryze running thing just like.....an inside riot joke or something? Even in their old cinematic all ryze ever would do is run lmao. Everything else is awesome but yeah D:

Lol. Funny you mention that. I remember everyone talking about that in the S1 cinematic. Ryze with ghost?! WTF?!

Forget that nonsense, what Annie ganks without her stun ready? Nocturne didn't even spell shield Ryze's W.

If you look at it closely enough, you'll see Ryze is seeing a pillar of bodies falling over. His eyes were also blacked out which leads me to believe he was actually feared by Nocturne. Once he gets his sight back he starts the fight.
kind of dissapointed by this one. Effects are pretty great, only annie looks a bit wierd/failCGI, but wtf was with their storyboarding
TF vs fiddle? not like graves or cait or something Ryze vs nocturne? not tryn or again someone who makes more sense lorewise Demonblade tryn for no reason? No tiebacks from the first two duels to the last melee? When baron appears, everyone is suddenly on the same side?
the flow of the narrative was not only not great canon wise, but it was just flat disjointed.
