Can someone explain to me why I'm getting +10-13 points per win and then -17-23 points per loss? I knew that sort of thing happened when you were getting close to a promotion series, but I've been stuck at 0 points for days now because not matter how many games I win in a row, two losses resets me back to 0 points. Ive just now had kinda the same thing. Silver 2 i was getting ~20 points per win. went 2-0 in my 3e promotion series and then lost 2 games in Silver 1. Now im only getting 4 points for my last 2 wins Oo Well, if you think about it, if you win 2 games and then lose 2 games you'd be at around 0 LP, getting little LP for winning after losing at 0 LP kind of makes sense. That plus the 'I' division clamping which they've said they've tried to expand to more of the division than just the very top
They expand it to whole division?
Ugh, that why all my wins +3 LP (loss like minus 12-15). Dafuq. Thought my MMR tank somehow. That retarded... I need win like ninety percent win over 50 games? RIP promotion, RIP.

I guess it changes depending on Elo still, since I went from winning/losing 4/5 to winning 3 and losing 5 after a series of losses, and since then I've gone something like 7-1 and now I'm getting +6 when I win. I have no idea how much you're supposed to win "normally" though, since I skyrocketed to Silver I from Silver V losing almost no games along the way during my accelerated Elo games, so my Elo was alot ahead of my league classement.

1st division of the tier is always rocky and hard, get used to it ;P And if your elo is ahead you get shitton of points, like 30-40,so not the case.

Thats not even rocky and hard, thats overly retarding.
I went 6-2 yesterday after being promoted to gold 1, still had 0 LP. Like what... That just dumb. I zipped up from my decayed ranking of Silver 4 (School OP) since finals been over, my win % been like 80 till now.

winning for +4 lost for -3 while at 0-8 points in Silver one. Yeah real fun knowing you need to go +25 wins/loss to go from silver to gold

I wouldn't even mind that. I dunno, havn't played any games today, but if my win LP and loss LP still the same I'm just going to stop playing. It'd be fine if they made matchmaking strictly against gold players, but my ELO already so high everyone but me in my games is plat 4.
If it stays how it was yesterday I basically need become challenger tier player magically to get promoted.

I agree, depends on who you have in your team comp. If your mid wants to play a champ like lissandra, brand, or anivia it wouldn't be a bad idea to ban kass.

So, another League system oddity.
For the last two weeks or so I've been at around 90 points in Silver 1, getting around +3/-3 for wins and losses. Very frustrating because I have been making very little headway, even though the rankings of the people I'm playing has been going up. I've been at 97 points on four different occasions at this point and have gone from playing mostly silver 1 people to playing mostly gold 5/4 people.
Then all of a sudden now I'm starting to get +12/-12 or so per game.
I guess maybe if your MMR stays at the higher divisions level for a certain number of games it de-clamps you so you don't have to win six-eight games in a row to make a promotion series?
It's so weird and so obfuscating, and I dislike it so much. Even when I'm trying to ignore it it befouls my playing experience.

It is pretty obfuscating...thanks for the new word
Do you think it's worse than the old ELO system?

Don't judge future behavior of this system by short term behavior, if you get past Plat IV MMR you'd get into promotions for sure
To math it out a bit:
Say they mapped Elos 500-2500 to approximately bronze V - Diamond I. Each division would represent an 80 Elo range. Furthermore let's say a person's Elo could fluctuate, by luck, +/- 100 from their "true Elo". If they really wanted to make sure you belonged in Plat before putting you in Plat, then they'd wait until you're 150 or 200 Elo "into" plat (to show that you weren't on a random +100 Elo upswing but your true Elo is still Gold level) before putting you into Plat. 150-200 Elo is 2 divisions. Which means you'd be playing Plat IVs and some Plat IIIs before that promotion happens.

I had never played another MOBA before LoL and I was youngish when I first started playing so I didn't have any idea what I was doing. Nasus was my favorite champ, I maxed Spirit Fire, pushed lanes with reckless abandon, never stacked Q and probably built the recommended items. Those were dark times lol.

It's ok, you probably outfarmed your lane opponent. Whether or not you could beat said opponent with superior items would be up in the air still...

I dunno, I guess that makes sense. I just dont understand the need for it to be so damn convoluted. I miss the plain old Elo system.

so riot plans to nerf zed but khazix is considered perfectly balanced? maybe in 1v1 zed comes out ahead but i think kha is at least as retarded if not stronger in snowballing games ......
