Sometimes... they aren't all terrible at that now, so most of the time they'll still just laugh and poke you.  (Then you're all "EAT THAT" once you get level 2-3 and you laugh last.) | ||

But yeah the main problem is that at level 1 Vayne will lose 1/2 of her HP bar walking up to her first cs vs cait+lulu and as Leona you can't really do much =D | ||

I was just sure i was in the right regarding it. The lane is at a disadvantage yes, but (I'm not going to pretend this is what that vayne was thinking about, considering she's in gold), but there's a lot to be said about giving your ad space to farm. Pressuring doesn't have to mean throwing your engage in, but it's as walking up and tanking the harass from caitlyn instead of vayne taking it, since you are tankier, and presumably have better regen since you started bead. It seems stupid to just walk up and take damage, but it's better for both champs to take some damage than the ad having half his/her health bar gone (double true in a no-heal lane) because it lets the ad stay in lane longer, and it's much better than the 3 other three people in lane forget you're there cause you're sitting in a bush watiting for level 3. Obviously don't get carried away (i.e. don't get hit by harass when vayne wouldn't be hit by harass, that's just free damage) but I mean if vayne is walking up for a cs and cait moves up to auto her for doing so, if you're in front of vayne, cait will hit you instead of her. This is most of the time the preferable scenario. EDIT: also "every good blitz knows the threat of the pull is stronger pressure on the lane than the pull itself", etc. etc. | ||

They KNOW exactly that you can't do anything, and an empty threat is not a good idea if the enemy knows for sure it is empty. If you walk forward at level 1 as Leona against that, you are saying "here, take my HP". You don't threaten them, you don't distract them, you just get punched in the face and lose half your HP for absolutely nothing. Even if you COULD reach them behind their minions, you would STILL lose the trade because their minions hit you while you autoattack them and do pretty much nothing else. In any leona vs lulu lane, you just need to somehow waste their time until you hit 2-3, then you can actually do things. And if you also got Vayne vs Cait, you just can't do anything non-suicidal early on, and they know that. | ||

tanking lulu q or cait q or autos near the creep wave can make sense because you have pots and one of the best base hp regens in the game and vayne has just dblade so it does make some sense to let them push faster but you should be under no illusion of trying to actually win a fight until later on | ||

They lost to that weird jungle Ez team comp. I guess they lost the B05 to Vel after all. Sejuani and Trundle's remakes were decent. Sejuani's splash art and model are better. She looks hot in the splash art and she's no longer wearing just a skirt in arctic conditions(default skin). Now she at least has stockings. Her attack animation is better and her dance isn't something awkward and silly anymore. Overall it was a good rework. She still can't sustain very well. Now she can't get QE for a good wave clear as well as a good level 2 gank. WE is definitely much better for waveclear if you want frost on all the enemies. They also fixed Sejuani's lore by making her look like a viable rival to Ashe. And Trundle is still a very good stat stick (no mana problems) that can't gap close. His W gives him up to 8.5 extra attacks. Ult is more noticeable. His lore was changed too. Before he was a Troll with extra good regen but now he's a Troll King. The two lores aren't in direct conflict with each other but I guess Riot didn't think a random troll would be cool enough to be a league champion. I can't tell if either champion got stronger but the reworks did their jobs by fixing cosmetics and lore. | ||

Edit: as much as I like Xypherous for stuff like Orianna, I also believe his approach to the game to be pretty biased: While it's interesting that Tristana can go AP - playing with a Tristana, only to discover that she is AP Tristana is pretty severely damaging to team compositions as a whole. While this could probably be solved through creative augment choices, there's a tension between making the playstyles unique and compelling *and* being able to provide a decent playing-with case for Viktor's teammates. It's a tricky path to take. Yeah. So, there's a problem with really making all 3 augments concurrent and viable because "your team would have to adjust to how you build", well, surprise, it's already the case with any champion: if I want to pick Ahri to play her AD, or decide to go AP Shen in the jungle, my team would have to adjust all the same, unless I communicate with them (surprise, Viktor players can do the same). | ||
