It's not at all a revival passive. It's just a resource refund passive with a weird refund condition (dying) Ignoring lifesteal and his W passive, if Aatrox has 1000 health, he can only ever survive 1000 damage, regardless of how he tries to chain together his abilities. He needs to spend health to charge his passive, and health he spends is health that's not being used to absorb damage. EDIT: I guess his E refunds health when it hits champs too? So basically he gets some free lifesteal and 'spell vamp'. EDIT2: this also depends on whether overkill damage is wasted or gets applied to his new health -- I would think it is the latter, given how it's an instant health restore and not a revival thing EDIT3: Although I guess the passive essentially means he can lifesteal past his maximum health (spent health is shuttled away somewhere safe) as long as he stays in combat. Put him in the jungle, farm for 20 minutes then come out with basically 20K effective hp or something for a massive midlane push. Well, it'd be more like double his max hp with incredibly diminishing benefit past that b/c I assume when he revives his hp can't go over max... but who knows. If this is the case its like Anivia egg that has to be "charged", without the CD, and lets you move and stuff while it happens. | ||
