Just the ruby + cloth gives you so much more eHP than the other duo and at least at my elo, they still try to fight you and just die. Then the active lets you push your advantage and tower dive at will. Follow up with ruby sightstone is probably mandatory since money starts to get scarcer midgame (can't pick up stray creeps when AD is recalled). | ||

Maybe it was just an off day for him. In the FXO games against PL's team, I feel that Daydreaming underperformed a great deal. He was basically getting caught 24/7 against a team which (imo) does not have top notch coordination. | ||

Locket is strong in general right now, not just for supports. It gives ~1700 gold worth of HP/armor, meaning you're paying 300 gold for 10 HP5, 10 CDR, and the active, which is a steal. Building from Kindle+Cloth+Bead is also a vast improvement in buildup compared to HoG+Emblem. And since the "50% effect shield" debuff applies for only 8 seconds (when the shield itself lasts 5), a team is pretty much guaranteed to get good use out of at least 2 Lockets, and sometimes 3 against certain teamcomps. TBH, the function, relative cost, and armor/magic resist focus of Locket and Bulwark make them roughly equivalent to Mekansm and Pipe in DotA right now. | ||
