I posted that in the Skarner thread already, but I build Chalice, Locket, Mikael's Crucible. Muramana is way too much money invested in pure offense and the amount of mana you get, especially midgame, is really underwhelming (you are kinda forced to spam your Q 24/7, unless you want to get Muramana at 20+ minutes, meh). The damage it provides is quite mediocre too, if I had to compare it to something it's like a glorified (old) Wit's End that provides Mana instead of Resistances, but takes time to build up. If you ever want to try it you have to be 100% sure you can get 2nd and 3rd blue buff. Frozen Fist looks ridiculously underwhelming at a first glance, but I haven't tried it yet. ^^^^ and what the guy above said, building damage doesn't help you instagib someone at all. I would also disagree that that's what Skarner's lategame is made of, because of QSS. | ||

Skarner does have mana issues, but he doesn't have single target spells. He mostly scales off of attack speed and cdr due to his passive. The new Zephyr item or Nashor's should be solid damage choices. | ||
