My best guess is they really want early aggression and not having the jungler ruin all the fun.

Man, I usually like to read this thread for the interesting discussions, but everyone is just being so negative. People thought the items and build paths were stale, Riot is changing them, and now people are saying there's too much change. Honestly I think releasing all of this info in small chunks makes it worse for the theorycrafting. It's easy make things sound all doom and gloom when we don't know the full extent of all the changes.

Hey, with all the weird items going on, one never knows. The sightstone would be in the "items i didn't expect" category, too. Cheaper then a HoG, slightly less life on it, and 4 free wards every time you back. At this point i think the best course of action is to just ignore all this stuff and wait for what will really happen, because this complete item overhaul appears to lead to a situation where you can't really judge those in comparison to the current items anymore, but would need to judge them in the light of the complete new itemset, as apparently there are a lot of new ideas and items.

If "free ward" item goes through similar to this, i'd assume that there will be a better way of antiwarding then the risky oracles, as if that is not the case, you basically condemn the jungler to farming and trying to contest objectives, and maybe ganking very early before wards are out, because after you got 2-3 of those on your team pretty much all of the map will be warded. I don't really think the game needs to be more passive.

EUW broken. Games don't start, and it's stuck at its common "you're already in a game" then "please reconnect to the ongoing game" (if you try to relog) bug.

Whenever the item changes/jungle changes patch hits I'm gonna predict that games will be completely hilarious with people just buying random shit.

I fully plan on doing Tiamat rush on numerous champions with the new Tiamat. I'll probably build other random bullshit too because why not.

Watching Locodoco's stream.. he plays a horrible Leona. I'm not sure if he's just tired or that his support play is just that underwhelming. He seems to have little concept of what his team actually needs from their support, and his decision-making is Doublelift-esque -_-

To me that sounds very exciting though. I kind of wish Riot would patch less and do big changes more often. Game gets stale when I never have to alter my build on lots of champions for literally years.

Also, from the jungle changes and this sightsone thing I think Riot wants the jungler to be a farm machine and rarely gank lanes to encourage more aggression during lane phase.

Which is good news for aggressive laners and bad news for pussy assholes like Karthus.
