i really think a lot of the major NA viewership is a result of having good personalities and people that you want to cheer for based on their streams, and i don't think that'll go away if asia dominates.
on top of that i think there's a push to keep the regions separate instead of having them all bunch up.

Except there's a huge difference between banking on a coinflip and planning a strat that you will pull out. What do you mean EVERYTHING goes their way. There were literally 0 things that could go wrong for DIG that would make this strat void other than getting outplayed or the strat being leaked by le Dyrus. CLG banked on getting a coinflip in their favor. How are these 2 similar again?

The viewer numbers go up due to the higher quality of play. I seriously doubt people will stop watching just because TSM is out of the tournament.

it depends...?
i was in the crowd and there were insane TPA chants. they quieted down after the first game once they lost but after that, wow. whether it was because people were anti-AF or because TPA took down M5 and NS, I don't know, but it was nice to see.
i think it's definitely too early to tell what will happen.

You'd be surprised. I'd rather watch a team with personalities that I've grown to care about then some asian robots I know nothing about. I know that's kind of a shitty attitude but that's just how I've always felt about Esports. I like to have someone to root for.

You can go to the LR thread on TL and find a bunch of posts saying "I'm not watching the finals because CLG.Eu/M5 are out". And TL is a site that's fairly receptive to "game quality > fanboying favorite teams". Outside of TL I'd expect a much higher rate of viewership attrition.

Blaming their loss on the strat would be silly. CLG.eu didn't do anything unusual in their game versus Dignitas, they just won all their lanes and Krepo didn't go bottom when Scarra showed there. Nothing CLG.eu did was out of the ordinary or abnormal for a professional level game. Moreover, Jatt and Deman seemed aware of a massive lane restructuring strategy at the very start of the game, so either Dyrus told a lot more people than just Wickd or Dignitas' secret wasn't nearly as well kept as they thought.
I honestly think the roaming strategy could have worked leak or no leak, but Dignitas was simply not as good as CLG.eu. Unless I'm missing something, neither Najin Sword nor Saigon Jokers were told and they still beat Dignitas. While Dyrus did something incredibly stupid, this is a fairly poor (though not "blue side" poor) excuse for their performance.

How do I build Sona now? Before I used to go flat ap mark, glyph, armor seals and gp5 quint. Should I keep doing the same thing, I feel like if there is a taric I don't trade enough damage anymore. I'm thinking about prioritizing my heal first and just playing sustain lane. Level 2 taric just molests me. D:
