So. I tried Warmogs + Soul Shroud Anivia (aka stealing 2 Froggen builds). All that happened is a 30 min loss turned into a 65 minute loss.

You'd have to do it in game.

Okay guys so I got an email a couple of days ago about adding jungle timer functionality to LoLTool. Because it got me curious I threw together some code and made an overlay with that looks like this:
+ Show Spoiler +
It only works with LoL in Borderless or Windowed modes, it won't show in Fullscreen mode but I don't think that's too much of a problem. You can move the overlay wherever you want and lock it into place with the little padlock icon (so that you don't accidentally move it while playing).
The timers are all manually controlled: i.e. you have to hit a hotkey combination to activate them - they don't interact with the game in any way on their own.
So my question to the TL community is would you consider this cheating or not? I don't really have any desire to release a cheating tool to the public. Personally I feel this is still within the realm of "helpful tool" rather than cheating, particularly since it still requires the player to start each timer and to type into chat if they want to alert their team to the objectives. It's like having a bunch of stopwatches on your desk that you activate when you see an objective go down.
Anyway, if people here feel particularly strongly against it I probably will not release it to the public, otherwise it will be in the next release of LoLTool in the next couple of days. So let me know what you think.

that's definitely cheating, in my books

Not cheating, same as putting timer in the chat and going back to read it, just more readable.

There are already jungle timers and riot has ok'd them iirc

I wouldn't consider this cheating. Timing weapon spawns has existed in FPS games pretty much always. And a lot of players who memorized the spawn timers usually started off using timers until they sync'd it up with game time. I think Halo teams still have coaches that tell their players when weapon spawns come up at tournaments lol.
Knowing timers in LoL is really important, just like knowing weapon timers is important too. But I don't see the difference in a player having it all memorized and keeping track of it or just using a timer themselves.
edit: Also, timers make it much easier for people who jungle to start memorizing spawns. At least, from when I played Quake/Halo I'm going to assume the principles of using timers to memorize spawns is the same. You start using it, then eventually you start not timing something. Maybe it's red buff. Until you have red buff memorized. Then you move on to blue. Then dragon. Then baron. Then small camps if you wanna be really meticulous. One should assume that as the skill of this game increases more and more junglers are going to be memorizing camp and objective spawns. Timers are a great tool for helping that.

I think timer programs are pretty stupid. If you want to time something, learn how to type it in chat.
Coaches definitely shouldn't be part of any active League games (this means you, MLG).
I'm 1000000% against typing macros (shit where you press a button and it types stuff into the game, e.g. AHK). Timers where you push a button on an external program I'm indifferent about allowing, but actively discourage their use.

I am watching scarra playing Sejuani mid. It's so bad yet so funny (kind of like Leona mid).

talking about cheating what's the lowdown on that chinese cheat/hack/exploit mentioned a while ago about global/nonglobal variables, fog of war and wards. is that fixed now?

TBH I would use a timer program if I knew one that is good. It's very useful to keep track of enemy Flash/ult cooldowns.

are there any champions similar to Anivia? Morgana is kind of similar except for no wall, but I like playing her too.
Anivia is so fun to play. feels like I contribute so much to the team (assuming early game didn't go horribly wrong for bot or top lane) once the first line of towers are down and it becomes more about team fights and pushing creep waves.
can control space with ult and/or wall and be able to initiate/pick off players with a Q stun.
also, first time I played against an Alistair in 37 Blind Pick Normal games. got a good taste of why he's always banned in pro games.
at what point should I start considering playing Draft mode games?
at the level of competition I play against, standard meta comps other than wanting a tank to be able to initiate/soak damage don't really apply since all that really matters is don't be stupid and constantly die in early game then don't be stupid during team fights and get caught out of position or trying to solo everything
if the above 2 things happen, we're probably close to even with the other team then quality of team comp probably comes into play

When you've played this game long enough you instinctively know whenever a enemy's Flash or ultimate is back up
|
All i know is if you allow jungle timers eventually you'll get the line of logic of "well i can type jungle timers, so certainly i can type summoner cd timers so lets automate that too." Give a little wiggle room and they'll end up with a wiggle mansion.
Should just develop game sense and learn your own timings. x_x

Syndra is a weak version of Anivia, if that counts. Ziggs also has a large amount of AoE and zone control and poke.

Syndra is not like Anivia at all. Syndar is a mix of Cassiopeia and Orianna.
Anivia is one of a kind; she has the only toggle AOE spell and the only ranged obstacle spell in the game on the same champion.
