Ended up going 17/4/8 as Shyvanna though, so good times! Yeah TT wraiths are pretty much the endboss of that map. The TT jungle mobs aren't the same as S1 jungle mobs, if that's what you're implying. Jungling dynamics are definitely a lot different between TT and SR with how painful the camps are. I think he's referecing how there was a switch some time in season 2 where jungle creeps were nerfed along with the exp they gave and the effectiveness of Wriggles. They also added healing orbs to SR creeps. They didn't change any of this on TT while keeping the wriggles nerf.

I fondly remember the time where 90%+ of my games didn't contain Kat and Ezreal.

Hmm, not sure how you could take it to mean that. I was just talking about how backbreaking TT wraiths are, they're definitely not the same as s1 SR wraiths. Honestly I bet they could triple kill a lot of team comps at level 1.

I picked Darius into Jax and got stomped. Did I get outplayed or was that a really dumb pick on my part? I don't play Darius enough to know who he's good/bad against.
|
you got stomped, jax sucks vs darius
or you got camped which is more likely since thats an easy lane to camp for...if it was just 1v1 you got destroyed hard
|
Eh, he got an early gank and pushed the advantage. I probably should have been more aggressive though.

That's interesting. I had a darius who was up 3 kills and 2 levels on a jax, but was getting his ass kicked.

Yes this, sorry I thought everything was the same as S1 (obv aside for layout). Either way, quite diff.

I don't mind Kat. She is fun, ish.

does anyone have general advice for ranked 5s roughly around 14-1500 range where you start getting matched with 2k elo teams every other game and it feels like you just get outplayed every step of the game?
or i guess how would you try to play a game in which all of the enemy team are significantly better than your own?

The thing most 5's teams do is play everything like it's solo queue, rather than taking advantage of superior ward knowledge, coordinated 3 and 4 man gank/dives, bush camping, etc.
Instead of trying to win your lanes individually or with the occasional jungle gank, make a team effort out of it. Set up objectives and shit.

planning ahead at champ select
1) maybe they have a good duelist champ top or something, you put 2v1 top and pick some one not dependent on farm to 1v2 bot
2) strong early ganker with easy to gank lanes comp
3) invading smartly to start with an advantage
4) mastering gay champs like ap teemo, rengar, eve, etc that are hard to deal with regardless of skill level
|
putting 2v1 top without knowing what youre doing can backfire really easily though

If you're outclassed, you're outclassed. You pretty much just have to play to the best of your ability and try to win. That's really all there is to it. You can't cheese people in LoL like you can in SC2; there's no secret strategy that can take people by surprise enough to win the game outright. You can do stuff like send AD mid, AP top, and some bruiser kill lane bot, but if they're all better players they're going to win the lanes anyway. Your best bet is to just practice practice practice and get better.

Well, you might win the lanes, but if they just better they probably going to just win anyways.

You could also look them up on lolking and dodge.
