If we treat the shield as equivalent to HP, the item is cost-effective for self-stats at level 15, which is quite late. Most other aura items are cost-effective for self-stats pretty much right off the bat. A 200 flat shield would make the item break-even for self-stats, which is in line with every aura item in the game.

I get item even when it's probably inappropriate. And always buy it on Leona whenever I can. Cause you know, Lore. :3 But like I mentioned, let's say it had HoG stats for 2k gold and a massively powerful active that doesn't stack or refresh. You can't like, not get it because it's so good. But how do you rush it? Does it help break 0cs Support? Does it change what it means to be support and we get Support-top laner style champions where you rush support style items first? Something I've been playing around with in my head. | ||

make all gp10 items active instead of passive unique active: once every 10s, you may activate philo/hog/kage/avarice for 5 gold. each separate gold generation item will have its own cooldown now you have to put work into making gold. lane very intense? you'll get more out of a combat item. basically shuts it out for top and mid as well. you want to cs or you want to get passive gold? you're going for passive gold and missing cs. you're going for cs and missing your gp10 timers. would make the game a lot more active. think madlife has a hard time keeping track of everything now? add 2-3 hotkeys every 10s and watch him switch to dorans rings and aegis rush in one game it's something i really wish they'd iterate and yes i know it's artificial difficulty but it would really help keep gp10 items where they are but at the same time push the game away from them | ||

I can imagine I would just spam 1,2 and not worry about them at all. Maybe if you tried to activate them before they are off cooldown, extend the cd by a few seconds.? | ||

It's not really fun, it's just sort of pushing buttons and getting things mindlessly. No decision making, just sort of shit you have to do because it has to be done. Not a good idea, imo.
