Practically speaking, an active AoE shield should just be priced as though it were an aura item that provided that much HP (since an aura actually giving HP would be weird in the cases where someone enters and leaves the aura radius, you have to use an active shield to get an equivalent effect).

Locket gives ~1700 gold in self stats for a 2225 gold item, plus the shield effect. If we treat the shield as equivalent to HP, the item is cost-effective for self-stats at level 15, which is quite late. Most other aura items are cost-effective for self-stats pretty much right off the bat. A 200 flat shield would make the item break-even for self-stats, which is in line with every aura item in the game.

I admit, I am super biased in favour of Locket. I get item even when it's probably inappropriate. And always buy it on Leona whenever I can. Cause you know, Lore. :3

But like I mentioned, let's say it had HoG stats for 2k gold and a massively powerful active that doesn't stack or refresh. You can't like, not get it because it's so good. But how do you rush it? Does it help break 0cs Support? Does it change what it means to be support and we get Support-top laner style champions where you rush support style items first? Something I've been playing around with in my head.

I feel like whoever would get it first gets a big timing window that they should exploit to snowball. I don't think any other item is that strong.

Sorry for the off-topic. I usually play support/tanky junglers to be able to put up with my teammates' mistakes and provide the team with what it lacks the most. However, it can get boring after time so now I'd like to start playing scumbag junglers, that is, junglers that have strong counterjungling, ganks, ks potential, mobility and damage, etc. Basically the kind of jungler that everyone hates. I'm trying to figure out which champions fit this category and so far I've come up with LeeSin, Shyvana, Rengar, Kha'zix, Nocturne. Am I missing someone? I'd like to know all the possible options. Thanks ^^

Having to bank like 2k gold while sitting on just a post-nerf HoG also leaves you really vulnerable if you're a solo-laner and junglers don't get enough gold as is. So it also gives people a window of opportunity to zone you or gank a lot. Dunno. Again, I'm willing to admit I'm letting my bias and Leona luff get in the way here haha

Mundo (tank build and does good damage and goes where he pleases), Jarmander (although fallen out of favour, Flag->Dragon Strike is really cool), Meowkai (high base damages), Riven (So much mobility. Hyah! Hyah!), Trundle (Pillarzz)

i stand the item change that i came up with nearly 2 years ago in regards to how gp10 should work

make all gp10 items active instead of passive
unique active: once every 10s, you may activate philo/hog/kage/avarice for 5 gold. each separate gold generation item will have its own cooldown

now you have to put work into making gold. lane very intense? you'll get more out of a combat item. basically shuts it out for top and mid as well. you want to cs or you want to get passive gold? you're going for passive gold and missing cs. you're going for cs and missing your gp10 timers. would make the game a lot more active. think madlife has a hard time keeping track of everything now? add 2-3 hotkeys every 10s and watch him switch to dorans rings and aegis rush in one game

it's something i really wish they'd iterate

and yes i know it's artificial difficulty but it would really help keep gp10 items where they are but at the same time push the game away from them

would you be penalized for spamming their hotkeys before they are off cooldown? I can imagine I would just spam 1,2 and not worry about them at all. Maybe if you tried to activate them before they are off cooldown, extend the cd by a few seconds.?

I guess you could make it like midas which has a longer cooldown but gives 190 gold on use(on creep). So you "punished" more if you aren't able to use it on cooldown but I doubt that's the kind of dynamic they want to implement otherwise they would have done it from the start.

There have been quotes from Riot saying the new jungle changes have buffed single target junglers, WW included.

I would expect that more detailed information would be released/hinted at after the patch incoming after season 2 ends. They already have a huge amount of content I'd assume, slated for that patch, TF model, rengar/jayce nerfs etc.

If Riot is intent on getting junglers to actually do more jungling shouldn't an easy solution be to have camps decrease in EXP and/or gold the longer they sit there unfarmed therefore rewarding champs (jungler or others who take) who are active at clearing on respawn?

That would incentivize mids clearing them even more as they are again the most efficient clearers for the least amount of pressure lost (if a jungler attempts to constantly clear camps he will be extremely predictable and easy to read, allowing lanes to pressure when they know he jungler will be nowhere nearby, as well as losing time due to the inefficiency of clearing paths/ travel time). If the jungler has no ganks at all then a lot of lanes are fked

I feel like all that accomplishes is BW-style "APM spam for the sake of having high APM". It's not really fun, it's just sort of pushing buttons and getting things mindlessly. No decision making, just sort of shit you have to do because it has to be done. Not a good idea, imo.

They said specifically that WW is really strong in the new jungle, because he doesn't need the new items to survive the higher damage output. Him and Fiddle were the ones they said got buffed from the changes.
