Diamondprox was already very successful with AD jungle rengar, afaik. Though he would probably be great at Leblanc jungle too. | ||

Then he is wrong. I rather have flat armor yellow than 8.1 extra AP at level 18. EDIT: I think the MOST UNIVERSALLY USEFUL runes are flat armor yellow. I cannot think of a single role which can say "man, these flat armor runes are useless". Even AP mids can use use flat armor runes successfully. MR per lvl blues, IMO, are actually pretty situational because they break even with the flat ones until lvl 8-9. | ||

I thought Rengar has been played quite successfully for a while already, it's just that AP was considered better than AD by many (before the patches). According to lolking (I'm sure it's not exact, but it should be good enough for this) Rengar's solo queue win rate never was below 45% in September; it's actually been close to 60% for over a week now (which is ridiculously high). Syndra win rate has never even been higher than 30%. Yeah, people certainly haven't figured her out :-) Edit: Just to be clear, the numbers don't change much even if you include only Gold/Plat ranked games. Not sure how they sample, but I have no reason to assume the samples are biased either way. | ||

Regardless, upon release Rengar had like a 36-38% some winrate prior to the discovery of AP Rengar. Even AP Rengar had winrates in the low 40s though. Syndra has retarded poke and a fucking absurd stun. She's been out for 12 days. Anyone who thinks a champion can be figured out and understood in 12 days is naive. I'm not saying Syndra is OP or anything. Just saying that statements like, "she isn't useless anymore," aren't relevant. The champion is new and isn't fully understood or figured out. All we know right now is that her CC is really good and she has really strong poke. In the right team comps she's probably a good champion. She's not going to be allowed at world's though so none of the people who are really good at AP mid have any real incentive to play her. edit: And rofl, using LoLking indicates that Syndra's never been played for more than like 3% in all games for most days other than release. So she's not even being played by people, she's just been written off by most as being a bad champion. | ||

It is a bit of a crutch for lasthitting mid, but a decent starter. Transitioning into mpen reds and ap/movespeed quints for mids and magic dealing tops/junglers/niche supports as a second page guarantees you are able to play all roles with a basic page by level 30. More niche runes can be asked about at a later time | ||
