Most of the time, it's the jungler + melees (sometimes AP depending on the champ) who are doing any focusing, and it's fine telling them they should focus on the enemy carries instead of protecting/peeling for the ADs. If you can chain CC and instant jib the AD carry its ok. But if you cant and 2-3 of your people get kited, the people behind you will get blow away by enemy team and they will turn back and sandwich your remaining members. Oh god, this happens so much.. Teamfighting is so crazy at 1400's. I'm sure I'm not helping either

If you have one of the better late game AD's (trist/kog etc.) then I like just ordering my team to protect them at all costs. Sure there are better ways to team fight but there is nothing better for solo-queue than insta-gibbing that retarded irelia or something and winning 5v4. Focus at all is a hundred times more important than focus a carry.
Plus its surprisingly easy to convince people to peel for their AD, as long as you don't directly word it as "focus olaf" or something. Also since I play a ton of lulu everywhere nowadays I have the best peeling in the game. :D

A couple of months ago I had randomly got 2000 riot points and I had no idea why.. eventually I just accepted that I randomly got 2000 Riot points for free and moved on. But it JUST occured to me as I was in the shower that I may have received a champion bundle for some reason. Anyways so I looked at my profile and found out that I have both the Sejuani skins (I had bought Sejuani with IP when she came out).
So anybody care to guess as to why I got the Sejuani bundle + 2k RP?
:o
Didn't you play on a Canadian team in a high profile tourney a couple months ago or even longer? RIOT usually rewards those teams with a couple thousand RP, but it usually takes weeks or months to get the compensation

i think people generally still hit tanks way too much

I'd very surprised if even half of LoL's population knew what peeling was, and how to do it.

I couldn't figure how he had enough for all his spells so I went back and watched it repeatedly in 0.25 speed and suddenly his mana went from 75 to 100 and he had exactly enough to grab a few seconds later for the kill. Probably just a bug of spectator mode. I've seen people with 3 more deaths than they actually have.

actually upon more careful examination he leveled up -_-

On the other hand you bruiser/tank needs to be able to estimate when you need to be covered instead of him diving their carries while you are getting murdered by their front line. "Dont hit the tank" is such a oversimplification in most situations.

Pretty much all the champs I play though like diving squishies for the most part =(. Olaf, irelia, nocturne all like diving squishies and ripping them apart when they can't run with a combination of randuins and phage proc. Then when I play stuff like udyr or mundo I fail quite miserably at teamfighting. I think when you consciously have to make a choice and pick either peeling or diving because of positioning is when it gets really, really difficult.

Peeling importance is quite dependant on the enemy team. Especially champs like noc/olaf/irelia are really hard to deal with for a ad/ap carry alone but die amazingly fast if your team turns on them the moment they dive on your backline. Ofcourse squishies die faster IF everyone hits them at the same time. But a properly positioned ap/ad won't be open to a entire teams focus the way a champ diving for your backline carries is.

real surprise, wickd still plays irelia
