The gap between random team xy and a big name is just so fucking huge that I'd say go4lol is a big waste of time unless you want to spend 4 hours to play vs one of those teams. | ||

What's the alternative though? I'm not aware of any tournament as readily accessible as Go4LoL. There are a lot of terrible teams playing, but that's the big benefit of the tournament. Everyone playing gets a better sense of their team's strength, and everyone has the opportunity to learn from teams much better than they are. Go4Lol specifically could be run better, but as it stands there's no other tournament to compete in if you aren't a big name. | ||

I mean, there are a BILLION ways to incentives ranked 5s. Give it a IP boost. Give 5rp per win. Actually announce monthly prizes/skins for hitting certain plateaus. | ||
