you can work on your last hitting without dropping ad runes. when you hit for ~100 you can still hold your fire to let the minion attack it again, meaning your wave pushes slower, which is an improvement in your farming. so your argument that you need to lower your ad to the lowest possible numbers to improve your last hitting is also bad ;p

That's true. In fact you should practice last hitting in custom games, in ranked you just should try to maximize your chances of winning with any possible means - even if it equals overcoming your flaws by using runes

I've never noticed any difference in my ability to last hit with AD vs Arpen reds so I use the Arpen.
As for ranked I heartily disagree. You're not playing for cash in *any* ranked match (arranged or solo queue) so you should approach each game with the goal of improving rather than the goal of winning. You don't learn anything from winning.

Wanting to win too much never gets me anywhere, but when I duo q with a good buddy and just don't care about the results and focus on having fun playing with him, we usually end up winning.

I noticed 2 things in the ranked game I played earlier today!
First, Viktor DESTROYS Swain! He has no answer to Q spam, it's not a contest at all.
Second, Viktor's pretty amazing at bush-pwnage ala Garen. W ERQ combo and they die instantly!
I'm not sure if you can just shrug that off as bugfixes... are those nerfs or buffs?

It's like a huge letdown to do that for the rest of the game, but there's nothing more enjoyable than doing 30% of their life with a Mystic like you use to do 1 year and a half ago.

Other than early lasthitting under tower, there isn't too much of a difference, and killing creeps when they have more HP just pushes the lane. I still run full arpen on Corki because I feel that his early/mid-game are strong enough already, and full arpen with a Black Cleaver allows you to forego a lategame Last Whisper and just pick each of the BF items (plus triforce, a defensive item if necessary, and boots).
I feel like I learn plenty from winning, since you get a good idea of what works and what doesn't at your elo. Since I make mistakes every game, I enjoy watching my wins more because 1) the mistakes are generally fewer and easier to isolate, and 2) obviously not as big a punch to the egosack as watching myself lose. If I contribute significantly to a loss, usually I made enough big, noticeable mistakes that watching the replay for more seems redundant. If I watch a loss I generally focus on the laning phase since that's where individual skill plays a big role.
Ofc watching losing replays is helpful to improvement, but a lot of times it's easy to pick out where you messed up.

In my opinion movement and decisionmaking are far more important things to inspect in replays than laning phase

That´s not what I said, what I said was that using AD runes purely because you´re bad @ csing is bad. I followed that up with trying to improve your cs without using runes that make it easier.
I never said you should learn to cs by using as little ad as possible.

CV was a huge crutch, but it wasn't the answer for everything.
Also even if you have no spell to throw at brush to check, you can just chuck wards into the brush, ward-tossing range is respectable.
