And I think that LB is gonna have to stop being a common pick from regi. Im all for running a kill lane mid, but I think it has to be much more situational than "I feel like playing lb right now."

People are learning to deal with it, and she just isnt that good past midgame.

I agree.

TSM also needs to start controlling dragon and buffs. I've seen so many scrims of them in the last while where they get a big advantage early, then the other team takes dragon and TSM just wasn't prepared to stop them.

Edit: thinking about it, Regi playing LB so much is pretty clearly a result of TSM playing so much solo queue. She's a classic pubstomper and he's been destroying people with her there, but against a better class of player she doesn't work nearly as well.

I don't care, abilities and descriptions in this game should make sense and not stay bugged. Nidalee was OP for ages but that didn't make spears thrown behind you any less frustrating.

I think one of the biggest causes of lane passivity is that it's way too easy to farm 100% of creeps at tower. In dota the less predictable tower damage and stronger creeps made pushing more rewarding than it is in LoL, where pushing usually ends in getting ganked without making a dent in the other guy's farm

I'm pretty sure in DotA there was more than that too. Like, the towers were a lot weaker, so there wasn't a whole lot of this "sit under tower and farm" bit in the first place. You weren't really as safe as you are in LoL.

Didn't take long to get back to trying to turn the game more like DotA. I hate DotA, as do many of the millions of players, hence why they don't play DotA.

Being able to farm at towers is a good thing.

Riot's logic of balancing is that if there is any problem in the game, nerf Xin Zhao.
Heck, it even made guardsman bob play more than 2 champs since they nerfed Xin so much.

So what is the community's consensus on Volibear? I've ran him several times and I've yet to win solo top with him. He sure seems strong with all those items, but in lane imo he has one of the worst passives (at 30% HP you're ignited and about to be bursted to death for a very long HoT to do anything) and his kit screams "kite" even from melee champions.

Tried to jungle, it's somewhat ok but I see no reason to jungle him over Noct or LeeSin and the amount of farm he needs to get his signature items (atmogs) is unacceptable for a jungler.

Any other opinions?

I have no problem with CS at tower being predictable. It separates good players from bad.

Although a cool change that I suggested a while back that I think would be cool- any creep that gets killed by a tower instead of a player gives half exp or something like that instead of full exp. That way you can be rewarded for pushing safely against someone, while at the same time a good player will be forced to use their knowledge of farming cs at tower to stay caught up in terms of level.

I think that solution is better than just making shit more random.

Lol, when I first picked up Jax he was considered an inferior champion (and he was, albeit only slightly). Then Riot nerfed him 2 times directly and then hit the nail on the coffin by nerfing his only truly viable endgame item (read: Gunblade). Too busy nerfing Akali who actually had other options and is playable even now.

Imo Riot has a terrible policy of determining a pool of "viable" champions (take Irelia for instance, it took ages for even the slightest nerfs to touch her) and balancing them carefully and then doing whatever the fuck they want to champions who don't belong in the pool. 200 ELO scrubs complain about Xin Zhao owning them in a A-move 1v1 contest? Nerf the shit out of him even though he's already borderline viable in high ELO. This screws over the people who choose champions based on aesthetic and spirit and gimps innovation since some champs are downright bad (take Mundo who apparently ruins Twisted Treeline noone even bothers to play anyway).

That actually seems like quite an interesting solution. Would make hard pushers stronger though. I'd be interesting to see what RIOT would have to say about this.
