Nocturne's is the only dash that's long enough to get within Kog's range, which is really the only way to get ontop of him without getting blowed up instantly. Assuming Kog's team knows that all they need to do is protect Kog and Kog isn't a baddy and builds IE + PDPD, you're basically fucked late game unless you're already miles ahead. | ||

By and far, but often he doesn't get to that point. He's not super strong in lane, and really relies on his support to cover him. Mid (if you play that comp style), he needs ganks early and often or he's back against a tower the whole time. And yeah, in an ideal situation, his team will perfectly protect him and he'll just get to rip through the enemy, but let's be honest, how often does that happen? Yes, in a perfect game, where his team supports him and he gets free farm, he's so dominant that it doesn't seem fair, but games like that are few and far between. Early game he's one of the easiest to shut down, and until he has his full build, most other carries out-do him. He's still great, but I wouldn't focus my rage on him or call him OP. | ||

Any advice on what to play? What I like in Swain and Morgana is their beefiness (as AP carries) and utility, so what would you suggest aside from obvious Lux (kit) and Annie (ability to get learnt fast)? I liked Brand but he's more glass-cannony, and Ryze but isn't he relatively easy to counterpick on mid? Anivia's got utility too but I didn't like her when I tried her (played her wrong too, I'll admit). | ||

ok i dont get both of them. Ryze gets oom faster than cassio and kassadin is generally picked vs burst champions and not vs sustained damage. I dont have alot of experience with ryze though. But with kassadin I dont wanna face cassio since she kinda does 2 times more damage on every trade and zones kassadin away from the lasthits. When you somehow managed to get even until 6 then you can only do a RQE when your 100% certain that the jungler is somewhere else or you have a flash advantage or she can ult,ignite,chase you to death with some assistance from any kind of jungler that has a disable. | ||

Just try it, 800 range harass and 1100 range burst still is good, not to say she still has the most utility out of all the AP mids you'll see. AoE stun, AoE speed/slow, shield. | ||
