You may be willing to take a step away from champion roles, but the next important step that a lot of people arent willing to make is that it is perfectly acceptable to abandon one game goal if the payoff is the ability to do another much better than the other team.
I disagree that you can entirely abandon any of the goals I listed (though you might argue initiation/teamfighting are so closely intertwined as to be the same thing). You can accomplish those goals indirectly (e.g. a team built around team fights pushes turrets by forcing a teamfight somewhere, winning, and then pushing a turret), but that's not the same as abandoning the goal.

So, since patch day is tomorrow what champs do you think will see nerfs or should receive nerfs? I feel like Cassiopeia might receive something soon just from what I saw of a MoonBear post not too long ago. I also wouldn't mind a Caitlyn nerf, maybe just reduce her traps back down to 2 like they were at release and a slight auto-attack range nerf. Then see what happens from there. Does anyone else think that Yorick may receive some sort of nerf soon too? Or is he underplayed enough to avoid nerfs for the time being?

He's not wrong. Maokai almost fills any of these roles (Assassin is a bit hard when you are a slow tree).
