Yeah, I've almost come to decide that ARAM is dumb, as most of the time the game is decided at the start (see our team above, I would have trouble designing a team better suited for all mid). Maybe we could come up with some cool way of making picks for it other than just random (if it's just blind pick though, I feel like the same champions are going to show up over and over again)

Yeah it gets a bit silly if one team rolls 2 healers somehow and the other team gets like all melee or something... but it's still a lot of fun if the teams are somewhat even.

I think a neat way to decide who plays what (instead of random) is to have people draft for the other team.

Don't forget bans! Pretty sure warwick would get banned so hard in ARAM for being unable to do ANYTHING ALL GAME. ;p

First ARAM game for me ever (only level 24, still new to the game).
Gragas, Nasus, Sivir (me), Le Blanc, Sona
vs
Xin Zhao, Urgot, MF, Teemo, and Nidalee
It was hilariously even (barrels boomerangs acid bullets and spears all over the place) until Riot pulls a fast one on us and d/c's everyone in the game, and half the people died to towers or were humiliated mid-push. I come back in to see the other team shamelessly pushing at our inhibitor turret.
A few minutes later, the MF on the other team d/c's for a few min, and it was all we needed for a bloodthirst+stark's sivir to tear their team a new one.

Played a 3v3 ARAM, which is interesting, the other day. Problem was we had Nasus/Yi/Poppy vs. Corki/Kog/Kayle. Oh, and I don't think our Nasus had played the champ before.
Needless to say, it was a beating.
I think I'd like to try 4v4. Might make the game a little faster (more xp per person) and less hectic (spam AoE! Win!).
If Riot supported it, I think it would be nice to have each team ban 5 heros for their team and 5 (other) heros for the other team. That reduces the champion pool by 10, but you could weed out a lot of stupid crap. Unfortunately, there's no "all random with bans + self-bans" option, so you'd have to do it externally, which is a mess 
Oh, and everyone bow down before my no-death, d-ring-only Kayle in Rug's screenshot, above. I was so tempted to suicide so I could spend my giant cash pile and end the game, but settled for just healing Sivir while she wrecked everything.

haha you didn't NEED to buy anything
you already healed for 250, which was more damage than we could do, and you could ult anyone that got near death
sivir was the big threat anyways

What amazes me about ARAM particularily is how motherfuckinly strong AP Yi is.
Seriously, you have yi and you dont need any other pushers
Also, lulziest game so far was the poke team we had; Ashe, Nida, Nunu (triforce ftw!), Zil and motherfucking AP rammus
Was hillarious cus noone thought rammus would do AP haha (even though he told us).
His routine was powerballing in, taunt, DBC out of it while we raped.
Oh and all the gold gaining items is soo fun too :D
