She's not fotm because she takes some finess to win a lane with. If you think of FOTM champs, they all are guranteed to win a lane with pretty much no skill involved. Think of Pantheon, Malphite, Gragas, Alistar, Akali, Jarvan etcetc

Speaking of Orianna, lane switches have been owning my Jax pretty hard. I don't think the teams at my elo realize it yet, but when they switch in a fresh ranged AP that I haven't been taking a dump on for 5 levels it gives me a lot of trouble

For Obs Mode, there is a 'Master' and a 'Slave' Server. Slave server handles all process you currently use such as giving restricted information to each team. So this is what will make the game run. The Master server collects all information for presenting it to the Observers. Delay is then generated to prevent people from cheating this way. Replays will probably be available for download for a limited time before being removed (a few hrs? A day? Idk). With several million games of LoL played a day, it'd be too impractical to store them all. Even if replays were only 1MB each, that's still several terrabytes of data created a day.

Best and most awesome post today! ^_^ I totally agree with Orianna - I watched hotshot play her on stream today, against Chauster in mid nonetheless, and he carried so hard it was ridiculous. Her passive lets her last hit like mad in lane, and her ultimate's throw+cc is good for initiation under towers etc etc.... She's also a good anti-ranged DPS, because of her harass game. Orianna's real strong, even though I've been terrored a lot lately the fact I have like 8 straight wins with her is the only thing keeping me afloat in ranked. I'm disappointed they didn't allow her at Dreamhack because Shushei stated he had her prepared and CLG would have used her for sure. I can't decide if she's OP or not, but if she isn't the only possible reason is because her mana costs. Her skills are so strong. tbh she's THE champ I keep kicking Annie/Malz/TF/Vlad out of lane on a consistent basis.. Maybe I suck with other APs, but I can't get that done with anyone else. Btw Orianna also has like 1500 range on all her abilities, but about this...
Vlad you can kick off lane with just about everything, he's extremely weak. Rumble can kick everyone off lane by the way, but I really don't think TF, Malz or Annie lose to Orianna, they probably didn't play properly

Annie crushes Orriana. Just no way to beat her because once she hits level 6 you are gonna get killed and from there it snowballs. I don't think any squishy AP can defeat Annie.
The range doesn't matter because with flash Annie outranges her.
Malz is kind of the same story, it's his flash pool + ulti combo that you just can't play against. You can't constantly keep in mind that they are gonna flash and ulti you because if you play like that you will have to deny yourself a ton of exp and gold.

Believe me i sucked realllly hard with gragas when he was FOTM, both his Q and R require you not to be blind while using it and i always slammed right before my opponent without hitting him. It REALLY was possible to miss 3 of his 4 skills. I saw maaany people hitting Qs at wrong distance with alistar too and failing miserably at my Elo. Is Akali FOTM now? Because i don't have internet connection now and i don't remember her being FOTM at all before (keep in mind that my view of FOTM champs may be different because i only know/knew what's played often on either my Elo or Elo of the few streamers i watched)
Though i agree 100% with panth, malph and jarvan, it was impossible to fail with them wrong when they were FOTM (actually jarman kinda still is )

But enough about that, back to see League of Legending. Wait... Hold up... There was a Pokemon board game? It was gloriously horribad. It only has luck elements to it and there is like 40 of them, all decided by die rolls. Not only that it's completly random which pokémon you are going to run into next and there are all 150 of them, and you NEED to get a 3 step evolution to win. So out of 150 you need to find 3 very specific pokémons, hope that nobody else gets one of those or you will have to start over again aswell as role the die and pray to god that you catch the damn thing. And when you've done all that hard work som wanker has the "Switch" event card which allows him to trade his mankey for your wartortle turning your fancy blastoise down to a god damn squirtle again. It's probably the most frustrating game ever made, and it has become a tradition by now.
You don't know what rage is untill you've played this game.

Morg new op: Mpen reds, mp5/lvl yellows, ap/lvl blues, ap quints, standard 9-0-21
Open ring, q-w-w-e, w>q>e
Build cata+boots1>cap>bv>hourglass/void/rylais
You can farm so fast with w that you start to hit your power items WAY sooner than anyone else, creating a huge window where you hit like a truck and basically force the other team to focus you or die.

How is it that AP alistar is still annoying as fuck? Jesus. Harass him all day get him low, he just hangs back and regains it all back. And is still some how able to get cs. Then he just stacks dorans rings - hits like a truck, heals, is tanky and has insane cc. Sure his AP base values were 'nerfed', to me he still seems the same.
Plus I am frustrated by trolls every where and I am dead tired. :O

You can farm so fast with w that you start to hit your power items WAY sooner than anyone else, creating a huge window where you hit like a truck and basically force the other team to focus you or die. This "you can farm s0 fest br0" stuff is really annoying, there always is a limited amount of minions. A good lasthitter will have just as much farm as you with your W spam. In fact, being forced to push the lane to farm makes you incredibly vulnerable for ganks. That's just a ridiculous claim that you'll have your power items way earlier than anyone.
|
Yeah, really. There is some merit to being able to clear waves fast but you don't just magically get way more gold, you're just stealing other peoples cs/just getting more cs than you normally do because its easier than last hitting.
I really think morgana is bad because most of her damage relies on hitting a singe target skill shot and her ultimate makes her really vulnerable with the popularity of tanky dps and burst ap casters right now.
You carry and have 10 kills from catching people over the map but in big teamfights you really don't do all that much damage and are easy to focus. Somebody like mordekaiser farms faster and is scarier when farmed.
|
Only you win your lane because the other dude has to stay in the minions, and you can just drop a w to do a lot of damage, or they risk getting slammed in the face by a q. There might be a limited number of minions, but even pros cannot get every single one, especially when playing against someone like morg who can control a lane really well.
Besides, if what you are saying is true, how come at Dreamhack there were always differences in the number of minions slain? Ease of farm=faster farm, even at top levels. And faster farm=faster items.
|
Sure, you get more minions, but you don't get THAT many more minions, and more importantly there are champions like corki/karma/mordekaiser etc that can farm just as well if not better (and also tend to rape their lanes) and have a more straight forward way of converting ad/ap to damage.
And you don't need to stay in the minions versus morgana. Her projectile is really slow and easy to dodge. Brands W is much harder to dodge and you need to do it consistently to have a chance vs him in lane.
edit: also CHOGATH much scarier better farming more sustainable better harass can kill a lot of lanes better teamfighting better everything o.o.

You're way overestimating Morgana, she can't even farm with W until like lvl 5-7 and by lvl 7-9 the other person probably can clear waves just fine. Also I don't get how some people even get hit by Q.

The range doesn't matter because with flash Annie outranges her. I laned Annie vs Orianna recently and that Orianna was tanky enough to survive RQWQ+Ignite with her shield. And because her harrass is much stronger than Annie's she won the lane. You just need the proper setup against Annie.
|
Morgana farms really well, but she also pushes. And she's not the best at killing her lane opponent. So you end up with both of you just farming up a storm for hours.
I still love morgana, but she's just not that strong overall. Still love teleporting into teamfights and ulting though, much fun.
Also if you tap 's' really quickly while chasing after someone, you can often trick them into thinking you just fired Q. When running from a morg people like to dodge this way and that whenever they see the slightest change in your movement, (as she usually stops for a split second to fire Q). Tap s and you can sometimes get them to juke in a dumb direction and then quickly land your snare.

Range absolutely matters. Annie isn't about 1 comboing someone to zero in lane. If you get a couple spells to harass the other guy then suddenly your level 6 is deadly, if you don't have the range to harass you probably won't get a kill. Annie isn't malzahar. (prenerf i guess)
