LoL has so many things you can do to give one team an advantage.
The obvious things:
-Choice of side
-Choice of firstpick/ban or not, maybe even something gay as an additional ban/early pick.
Unorthodox things someone might consider:
-More gold/10 for a specific amount of time.
-Minus x% on item costs. (like 2-3% would be a noticable advantage without breaking anything)
-Some kind of free buff every champion can aquire once per game at fountain
-Minus x% CDR / Plus x% regen / etc. for one side.
Yes, I'm completely talking out of my ass here, however, there are LOTS of possibilities to give one side a non-gamebreaking advantage without resulting to a possible 1-0 GGNORE grandfinals which is way more gamebreaking than any of the above ideas.

I like the idea of winners bracket getting an extra ban, making it 4-2, going 1-2-1-2. If the two teams met before, then the winning team gets the extra ban and first pick after the second double ban.

Hopefully they just schedule next tournament better, so they don't have to do anything like handicap teams, etc they can just run a normal tournament, like so many other games/sports seem to be able to do.
. IMO, if you give teams ingame handicaps but still keep it as a best of three, it takes away more from the integrity of the game, more then taking away a game win, which is how they handled it. In game handicaps would make the games less entertaining as a spectator, and more frustrating as a player. Personally if I was 1st in the world, but all my opponents had handicaps I wouldnt feel good about myself. They are great for showmatches though, so maybe some more Pros vs Riot games will happen in future.
Also, say they did handicap AAA, now Fnatic then loses 2 out of three games. Now.. we still are in the predicament that Fnatic lost the tournament, by only losing one series, even though its supposed to be double elimination.
It seems like they HAVE to either make it an extended series best of 5, or make two best of threes, where fnatic has to win one.
It also seems to me that the fact we are still discussing this means they really fucked it up on this one.

Just found a solution to some issue that bugged me for months.
If you get random buddy requests by the same persons every time you fucking log in...
Accept -> Delete fixes the issue.
Too obvious, I guess. >_>
