Sure if you are getting owned then E might help you not get owned as much, but it won't win you the lane either.
Also you underestimate the strength of a 600 range 24% slow at level 1. Blow summoners to escape? Success. Just run? 4 seconds of attacks from 2 people, success. Fight back? 2v1, success. Or the other person stays next to their minions and you can't do anything without taking far more damage in return
|
Protip: engage when there are less than 20 enemy minions. Not to mention that spells don't pull minion aggro.
|
Like I said 2v1 W is superior and if you are facing a super weak 2v2 lane its solid, but most currently common 2v2 lane combos are stronger than a janna+x lane (especially if you take W instead of E). Making the way to win your lane not losing it early.

To be honest it depends what's going on in the game. If they're coming into your jungle and you lose the fight take q to get people out, if they're coming in and you win it take w to ensure a kill, if nothing is going on take w or e for the lane dominance/shield effect depending on what you need. If I'm with a ranged dps like ashe or trist I basically always take shield first.

Gratz on 3k posts btw.
I think imma start putting out LoL videos from the perspective of a baddie. And by start I mean continue and by baddie I mean me.

tried ap morde:
don't like it, takes too long to do anything
also slow huehuehue

It makes no sense really. You have shittier AP ratios and shorter range spells with no gap closer, the only reason to do it is to charge your shield faster, and its better to just get some resists so the shield itself is sturdier since it's pretty easy to charge it up to full at the start of a fight anyway. Hotshotgg massing hextechs on morde and feeding makes me cry. He may be a slightly troll champ but if you build him with some sense he's not that bad.

Had the most satisfying win last night - first time playing Rumble and had to go solo mid against Ashe (who thankfully sucked), with malz/yi top lane, cait solo bottom and udyr jungling. Needless to say, my team fed like the opponents were newborn babies suckling on the teets of their delicious deaths and Udyr never even tried to gank once. Literally, the enemy fiddle had 15 kills by the twenty minute mark and was counting down to the surrender, so of course we didn't feel like giving him the courtesy. Then of course we completely failed at team fights since they had an Eve so any time a squishy got out of position, INSTAGIBBED. Somehow, when we were down all lane turrets and the mid inhib, we miraculously managed to focus right in a fight, won and pushed their inhib, won another team fight and baroned for the win. 56 minutes into the game we took down their nexus, with no-one on either side having less than ten deaths. I was actually shaking afterwards.

Shameless advertising of my own video in the spoiler + Show Spoiler +
Anyways, yesterday I thought it would be fun to play Amumu in 3v3, and it turns out I can play him as well as I play Galio, if not better. Pulled off some great bandage tosses across walls to catch opponents as they run, using it over a wall into top lane's bushes and catching an opponent trying to recall. Plus he jungles well.
|
Well, Amumu and Galio are pretty similiar. The main problem Galio has is that Amumu is better at everything

Yeah, well thats why I don't play tank Galio anymore. I play him as an Tanky Caster with a large amount of AP (Wohoo deathcap!), then I have Shen if I want to play True tank, Amumu if I want to jungle and tank, and Kayle...
I don't really know what Kayle is supposed to do ._.

Ranged dps/support.
I still think galio is pretty boss. He does a lot more damage than amumu to squishies so he can chase down and kill ranged dps and mages fairly easily.
Amumu is kind of a 1 trick pony as he just blows his ult and runs in circles aimlessly after that

Yeah, I noticed I was putting a lot less damage compared to when I played Galio, and I couldn't burst down a mage that was under 1/2 health, but he is just so easy to play. Thats why people may like him better. Galio requires more skill to play, but can dish out the pain if you are good with skillshots and flash.
Really? I didn't think Kayle would be a dps. Hmm, should look up a guide for her and try it out.

Not only she's kind of UP now but also Shurelia is working on her remake. I don't know what else can you screw with Kayle but believe me, Shurelia will make her worse

Yea but Amumu jungles like a boss, while Galio cant.

I know. Galio even died in his spotlight video vs the lizard. So then the question becomes Tanky Mage or Tanky Jungle..
I say both.

Amumu doesn't need flash to initiate, Amumu does much more damage to tanky champs, Amumu can jungle (very well), Amumu ganks much better. Galio can invincify an ally, Galio farms/clears waves better (Amumu can push pretty fast but not as fast), Galio can defend towers much better, Galio is arguably a better solo.
