I've started to over-compliment my teammates in solo Q, simply to keep everyone going. Otherwise the following tends to happen... *ally gets first-blooded top lane* other ally: "OMG NOOB SHOULD HAVE LET ME SOLO TOP" dead ally: "STFU OR I AFK" (they continue arguing for a minute, then one starts intentionally feeding, the other goes afk, and we all just silently rage) etc etc | ||

I always apologize when I know I did something wrong. This USUALLY gets people off your case quicker and while they might still pin the loss entirely on you at the end screen, they're less likely to get in an e-peen contest mid game (which is probably the least productive thing you can do). | ||

Positive reinforcement on the other hand always has an effect, even if people are consciously aware that you are trying to do it. While that effect might not necessarily improve their play, it'll at least keep people from ragequitting when the team doesn't live up to their l33t skillz. | ||

I had Westrice's stream on last night, if your LOL name is something like Montgomery that was the actual Westrice on Akali. | ||
