I advice you not to play this game. I hope they add some strong MOBA elements in it because right now its like:
Dota 2 is too hard > Switch to LOL > LOL is also hard > Switch to HOS.
Divine casual.

Well it IS free Illidan and Kerrigan week. Bound to have a few of them in there that will think diving into the enemy team or towers is a good idea. Had a game last night where the same Illidan, in the same lane, against the same hero, dived three times into enemy fort + towers and getting killed because his target was around 20% health. Melee assassins are also THAT class that people tend to see as OMGIMBA because they deal the damage when they get up close. So when they die to them, they only see the damage and not the risk that hero took and think they can dive like that when they try the hero themselves.

You haven't played a lot of HotS have you? No doubt DotA is harder/more complex, but it is also a very different game with emphasis on very different things compared to HotS. HotS is a very nicely designed game with it's own merits and it is absolutely worthwhile playing.

How they can call this as Moba if there is no economy, no laning phase, no items, and limited jungle. I remember myself writing the exact same things 10 years ago for LOL. Of course i have not played Hots that much and hopefully i wont. This would be 2/10 if there were not our good old friend heroes, and please, do remind this is RAGE THREAD, im raging this all the way i want. : )))
Edit: I did not play lol neither. 30 games with a party full of diamonds and first games were 25-6 ashe for me, this genre should not be easy, rip HoN.

If you haven't played the game you should probably refrain from giving people advice about playing it...
Rage all you want though, I'm not trying to stop you.
EDIT: MOBA quite literally means "Multiplayer Online Battle Arena" - talking about it as if it is some well-defined genre is hilariously enough the least wrong part about your post and it is still massively flawed.

My rant is similar to yours:
I played this game for a couple of weeks and honestly I don't get the appeal it has. For me it feels like this game doesn't know yet what it's trying to accomplish. Is it about going for the objectives or going for the core? Should we just not push and just get mercenaries? Often times my team would go for the objective and the other would just push and in the end they'd be better off since there was no one there to defend and they would end up taking the towers/barracks, the advantage we gained with doing the objective didn't seem to balance that since they would just regroup and kill the golem or whatever. I haven't played any ranked matches though.
IMO this game focuses way too much on team strategy/timing and not enough on individual skill since there is no farming, barely any sneaking/ganking, you can't really juke people as the maps are extremely small, no items to differentiate playstyles. The game might be fun yeah but I don't really see it being as popular as dota/lol since there doesn't seem to be too much to actually see unless the team tries something wacky.
I could be wrong though, I'm in no way a critic or game expert, I just play games
/end rant

If I didn't know any better, it's almost like this was a team game or something.
I actually think the decision-making process of learning when to go for objectives, when to get mercs, and when to push (and everything else) adds a nice element of complexity that contributes to the learning curve as a whole. It's certainly easy to get frustrated with teammates not listening or not understanding everything yet (I sure don't), but that doesn't necessarily mean the game is inherently garbage.

FPS = First Person Shooter but when we say good FPS we dont think of Call of Duty, do we, we even dont want to recall that game. At least for me, moba stands for something more tactical, more micro dependent, more tryhard. But during HOS gameplay i felt myself limited, imagine Dendi / Pudge - Puck plays if you know about Dota 2, and now sync it for HOS. How skilldeep you can go, game does not let you create your style but choose one and follow it.
And of course, i wont rage anymore. I know this game had no claims competing Dota or LoL, cant blame it for being less tryhard. Just a personal disappointment.

Seriously, all you're trying to do is troll the thread. Go do that somewhere else.

Yeah i should have written FUCK I WAS THE BEST SYLVANAS EU FUCK MY TEAM SHIT GAME I HATE THIS!! etc. Sorry for trolling, lol.

I was excited for this. Played a game of it and it's the most boring thing I've ever played. I am Jim Raynor on a horse. No gold, no items, no last hits, everyone XPs together.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz back to Dota2.

And so is DOTA, and so is LOL, and so is CS. Doesn't mean they lack the need for individual skill, quite the opposite actually. However with Hots blizzard basically removed any way of showing individual skill.

No, competitively we think of such diverse titles as Rainbow Six, CS1.6, Halo, Quake. Notice how diverse the gameplay of all those FPS are? Not reason why all "MOBA"s should be reskinned DotA 2 - go play DotA 2 if buying items/lasthitting is what you want. Play HotS if you want a game which is more teamfight centric, more focused on objectives and with multiple different maps.
Now, go to the DotA 2 forums and feel superior there.

Just want to clear something. This team focusses more on the team yeah, but i frankly don't think the other games show better the skill of a player. When you have an op carry killing everyone 1 vs 3, it is just that, OP, he got strong thanks to the supports and his play, he is not showcasing any incredible skill. League has a way to make one of the players stand out over the others, does that mean he has more skill? eh...not really.

So hard to get a decent team for the last days...
Never grouping up, never chasing enemies, never helping a mate getting attacked half a screen away...

For objectives and different maps, yes. But sadly Dota 2 or is more teamfight centric and more complex. Im not feeling superior or anything mate, whats wrong with you, this is a game, not a survivor arena. I wanted to say something about the game, in the right topic, and i said it. Why are people getting angry.
