If you change it to filter by games played the second most played comp involves Diablo, Gazlowe, Jaina, Nova, and Tyrande at 2332 games played. There is no way that is right... Those stats come from Hero League and Quick Match. Some of the most played heroes in unranked are the ones from Founder Pack, weekly sales, Nexus Bundle etc.

It says 60 days and I remember Nova was free that week as well. The stats including quick match make them useless though unless we were studying how terrible Blizzard's matchmaking system is at making good team comps.

Either you have to just ignore the absolute horrible team strategy and go with the flow and enjoy other parts of the game, or you have to take charge. But caring about team strategy and not doing anything about it is definitely miserable. The teams I get matched with have essentially no concept of trading. Every single decision is "group and contest." Blackheart's Bay: enemy team is higher level and has been winning team fights, the boss at the top and bruiser mercs at the bottom are both uncapped, enemy team is near boss, my team is near bruisers. 95% of my teams run across the map just in time to see the boss capped, trickle in and die. And if you don't follow them, you get criticized. These types of non-decisions are made constantly and are seen as the proper way to play -- "it's a team game" and "you have to actually do the objectives" being the mantras justifying the brainlessness. You gotta rise above it or learn to lead every game or just not care. Or queue with friends. Personally I've carved out some fun from solo queuing nonetheless. But it very easily can slip into misery. Seems like that happens in every MOBA. "Why didn't you go in?!" "It's 1v5... you want me to die too because you were stupid?" And things like that seem to occur too often (1 in 100 games would still be too often in my mind).

SO, with which heroes you can "carry"? My main is arthas, but you can't carry shit with him if your team is dumb, themost you can do if freeze someone and hope your team gets thehint that they should focus that hero, i also got stiches, hes a good "carry" cause of the 5vs4. Zeratul is good for that isn't he? Who else? Also heroes shouldn't be able to cast abilities from the hall of the storm, i just lost a game where a nazeebo casted his ult there, and we couldn't hit/stun him, and he wiped us when their core was at 6% health, and then wen't to our base and killed us -.-

But me? I got diamond 3k mmr on quickmatch, and then silver 1820 mmr on ranked -.- The worse thing is that im starting to gain less mmr points when i win, because the "mmr" is stabilizing (first you gain/lose 200 points, then it goes down, with enough games you get like 5 points or even less) So if i keep playing (or at least solo) i could potentially be stuck on silver for a long time, because i will gain very little MMR with each win so getting out of silver could take a long time, a long time playing with bad players. And altough hotslogs MMR, sint 100% acurate, this effect also happens on Blizzard matchmaker. Its not exactly "elo hell" because you sure can get out of it if you are good enough, but it could just take a lot of time and a lot of frustration. I don't think i'll play ranked anymore until i get a full team of people who don't suck (im not great but i don't suck).

As they should; the correct attitude for everyone at every sport they aim to get better at is that they suck now. Partly as motivation, but really more as a recognition of the reality that there is so much better to get. This is so true. Playing with people that feel entitled and ignore their own mistakes feels worse than playing with the guy that picks badly or dies as Tassadar on lvl2 against Muradin but at least writes something like "my bad".

If you're not enjoying the game then there is no point in playing. Relying on a full team to win/enjoy the game is wack, if anything just duo queue and if you still can't win against all silvers then somethings wrong. Thought you were better than most to simply QQ about mmr's or matchmaking and drop the "won't play unless stacked"... Also quickmatch vs ranked is a different beast so I don't think you can correlate your skill level between the two.

Yeah, but there are mistakes and then there are MISTAKES. The latter absolutely do lose games in manners that are just as unforgiving as in LoL or DOTA. Things like running alone towards where the enemy team is and getting predictably killed (my favorite is when players charge the boss sites thinking that they are going to ninja it 1v5) or charging enemy 5-man formations while shorthanded are just inexcusable and often end the game.

I find mana is an issue with muradin, but he has pretty low damage, so he needs to beef up the stun. Edit - Define mistake. I can see how on one of my latest loss, a Kerrigan player (who was being also really toxic in chat) was charging like she was a tank, getting ganked in obvious fashions even when pinged beforehand, etc... Her mistakes, lost us the game. Somebody has to make mistakes to lose, but this game is less about mechanical errors (even tho, they exist, and i have had plenty of teamfights with raynor where everything was in if i was able to interrupt some ultimates or not), and way more about teamfights and spatial awareness.

I made mistakes all the time, but my mistakes aren't chasing an enemy half the map when the mines are open then dying and forcing your team into a 4-5 or a 10 skull golem, but a lot of my team mates surely do that, then blame us we didn't follow in their suicide mission to secure a worthless kill. As xDaunt said, there are times when you even warn them "retreat, they are coming to you" they don't listen, they die, and its frustrating. i agree that this game isn't as much about as pure skill, its more about thinking what you are doing and why and when, but most people don't do that. I don't ask to have symbiote gaming as my team mates, i ask for people who at least know what they're doing. I love the game, but sometimes i feel like theres a lot that isn't in my control when playing a match.

I'm a bad player but I get matched with and against complete noobs in every game, so I can feel your pain. To answer your question: I usually pick Zeratul or Stitches when I want to ""carry"" in quick match. These are the 2 most impactful heroes that can do something in the inevitable 4v5 fight (because of that one guy that keeps dying) and punish bad positioning (that kind of guy may be on the other team as well). Nothing beats good communication though, being a good guide for your teammates and being lucky enough to find people willing to listen is much more valuable than any hero.
